We all struggle. I always thought that struggles were for young people and that the older you get the less struggles you have. Duh!! How dumb was that? If we didn't have struggles, how would we know or appreciate the good times??? I'm 48 now, and struggle more now than ever. Just keep your head up, and do the best you can. That's all we can do.

Allison, I thank God for how candid you are. You have been such an inspiration to me. I am having the gastric sleeve pretty on the 23rd of Nov. You have encouraged (inspired courage) me in my journey. I am considering making vlogs to journal my journey. Has it helped you a lot to make them? One big question - before your surgery, were you afraid you still might not have success even after the surgery?
I've never been that great at hiding things lol...good or bad as that might be I guess. I just hope it encouraging someone else in the process.
I hope all goes well with your upcoming surgery! I think all of us have those fears that we will " mess things up" after surgery...I will tell you that if I can do this...anyone can. My best advice would be to ask God for the help and use the help he provides through friends...youtube folks etc.

You're always in my prayers. We all have our struggles. Since my VSG surgery In April, I'm actually learning more about myself and I'm learning what I should tolerate and what I shouldn't. I can't use food to hide anymore. I've looked at this time as me FINALLY growing up, took me 41 years but hey I'm on my way and so are you!! We'll get through this, "God don't make no junk!" as my grandma always tells me!!!
