Whenever I check the live recordings of that song, I always here a Eadd9 (Emajor with F#) and not only the Esus (with an "a" on the "g-string")? Am I the only one?

strings for a year?... I use Elixer's on my electric....I play daily, and gig...I'm lucky to get 2 1/2 weeks out of my elixer's...not due to breaking, either...wore out.

Open Just use DADFGD with a capo on the 2nd fret. It's what I do...... Using that tuning will wear your strings and break em.

only if you use crap strings. try Ernie Ball Medium/Light Acoustic Strings , they never break.

:/ That's what I was using............ They broke all the time, I UPGRADED To Elixir 80/20 Gage,lite with a Nano-web coating. Now these are by far the best strings I have used. I've had them on for about 1 year, they STILL have that crisp clean brand new sound to them.

My DADFGD Tuning is practically an open E tuning except you don't risk breaking the G String. You tune down to this tuning and slap a capo on the 2nd fret, you'll sound JUST like this guy. But without spending so much money on string replacements.... Trust me, I've been playing for 7 years........ I know what I'm talking about.
