FRANCE did not win in 1991!!! There was a tie between Carola and France's Amina, as both had received 146 points BUTSweden and France had received four lots of 12 points, but Sweden had received five lots of 10 points to France's two, so Carola was declared the winner.

Ireland deserved every win in the 90s except in 1992. UK definately should have won. Maybe Michael Ball was too professional for this contest...

If Nocturne hadn't competed for Norway in 1995 it wouldn't mind me if Ireland had won again. But of course it would have been more fair if Spain won for the first time since 1969.

Of course. Spain should have won that year, not Norway. And I'm saying that even though I'm from Sweden and the Norvegians are our brothers and sisters. However, Ireland's entry that year was clearly chosen to NOT win.

1995: Eh... It's nice and all, but way too instrumental for a SONG contest. Spain should have won with "Vuelve conmigo" by Anabel Conde.

1996: Another deserved Irish winner.

1997: This might be the best winner ever.

1998: This seems to have been a weak year, but still, Malta or Netherlands should have won, not this!

1999: An unexpected winner for us, after we had sent far better songs in 1995 and 1996, that only came 3rd. But this seems to have been another weak year...
