  • O Dislikess. I love it.

  • Greatest song I've ever heard in my life. Another one on that album Big Country is pretty close but doesn't pull the heartstrings like "Sliding Down" does...

  • Shitty.

    psyche! haha

  • @ASKailing Since posting that question and listening to more of Fleck's music, I have learned that your reply is EXACTLY CORRECT! Without a doubt, he's a genius

    and prodigy! Awesomely talented.

  • It's cool to see a bnch of comments from other folks who used this beautiful song at their weddings, It was the processional at our wedding in 1999.

  • ah I love this song, walked down the aisle to it at my wedding last summer.

  • so?

  • Is ANY GENRE forbidden to Béla Fleck?

  • @imnemigre NO

  • Favorite. Song. Ever. This album is amazing.

  • I love this track! beautiful.

  • I got to see them when they were touring for this album in the 90s. I haven't words enough to describe it. Simply beautiful.

  • Whats even more impressive here is that between the three of them, they play 8 different instruments on this track. It sounds so seamless that you really have to listen closer to catch when they change instruments. I really wish this trio would perform again someday.

  • @MrEdyoulis I'm seeing them on the 24th of this month! Super excited about it!

  • brilliant. I feel I've lived 200 years.

  • @aallppiinnee THATS A WEIRD THING TO SAY

  • @spyvsspy901 actually that was pretty appropriate

it vibrates calmness and solitude of an old one

  • @LinguistTroubadour your comment is even weirder.

  • This piece is mesmerizingly beautiful for its simplicity, its eloquence...can't stop playing it - over and over and over...

  • Similar to the Law student, I had my organic chemistry exams, and this song on constant loop has calmed my nerves and steadied my head when nothing else in the library could. Thank you for posting

  • All the way Nice.

  • if you want to know why the views on this have gone up by about a thousand in the last week, it's because I've been listening to it on repeat while I study for my first term of law school exams. it's the only music I can have on that calms me down and helps me focus. I've had it on CONSTANTLY, no word of a lie. Thank you so much for posting it

  • @erinshmerin85 so glad this music could be a service to you. good luck on your exams!

  • @erinshmerin85 I'm studying for the MCAT now and I agree entirely. Music is my Aripiprazole .

  • amazing song! it was used in my school's play Anatomy of Gray, it fit perfectly and was the main song. this is my favorite!

  • Edgar Meyer is possibly the greatest living bass player and I think this is his best song. There was a live performance of this song on youtube awhile ago, it had edgar meyer and bela fleck playing with a whole orchestra and it was unbelievable. If anyone has it PLEASE post it or let me know.

    Thanks!

  • @bassslinger

That video was taken down at the request of the musicians, if I heard correctly.

Thanks for posting the audio version!

  • the simplicity of the song is what makes it so beautiful

  • My favorite song ever! To me the song sounds like it is telling someone's life story- the ebbs and flows, ups and downs, crazy times and calm times and that final peaceful sunset... just my take on it

  • I love this song...it has such a feel of nostalgia--it was on "Heartland" as well as "Uncommon Ritual"

  • amazing stuff right here

    amazing
