I can not believe the news I heard today. I want to think it's not true. It might not sound that big of a deal but Hamilton relapsing with alcohol in January in some people..but for me it is. I have changed because of his story. I looked up to him, and now this.

sure it's disappointing, but what you have to realize is that everybody is going to make mistakes. Hamilton emphasizes that he is saved by grace and not by his works. Hamilton is a human, and we all make mistakes. This just shows how amazing God's grace is and I think Hamilton understands that.

Not sure that anyone here has ever been addicted to heroin, cocaine, crack, meth and so on, but I hear it's pretty difficult to get off of. If you know the effects of drugs, you understand that your body becomes dependent on taking certain types of drugs, and you undergo certain changes, like massive weight loss. For Hamilton to drive the ball with such power is truly amazing - I could go on about this sensation of a story all day, but will stop at that. Think before you talk.

I respect your opinion. However, Josh Hamilton is "The Natural."  His journey back is a true hero's tale which is an inspiration. Everyone has made mistakes and moved on, that is part of living. Josh is a true inspiration to anyone with a dependency issue or anyone recovering from a dependency issue. Part of the problem with people in those situations is a bleak outlook, but Josh's return to glory is evidence that an addict can take his/her life back and still achieve their dreams. Thanks Josh for never giving up. Unlike many other MLB ballplayers who suffered from inner demons (i.e. Gooden, Strawberry, Rose) he rebounded in such as way that was convincing, sincere, undeniable, and inspiring. I'm proud to wear your jersey around LA no matter what anyone says.
