I like my R-Strap but HATE that I have to completey remove it and put my quick release tripod mount back on the camera every time I need to use my tripod. A real pain and gobblers up tons of time when you consider I paid $65 dollars for a camera strap.
You are an idiot if you use the clip on the bottom of a Manfrotto plate. It is about 1mm deep on each side and will snap off without a moments notice. This is a prime example of why DIY videos should be approached with caution. Please edit those out of your video. The clip is for you to tighten with your fingers... what makes you think it will support several points of metal bashing around? I'm sorry to sound so upset but I highly doubt you are going to replace someone's $5000 camera.
You can arrange this stuff by yourself just with a bag belt and an appropriate tripod collar; it's not well featured like the original one, but it works the same for no money....
put away your factory straps. this thing rocks. took it with me to Magic Mountain and was essential for getting all those great pics of friends and family. gee, i sound like a commercial. anyway, it's a great addition.
SORRY... Y-Strap, Zip-Strap and of course the Sling...this is an old idea created by many others before it. I wouldn't be praising the R-Strap for ripping off other peoples ideas I just give them a nod for throwing some money behind some marketing....
I use mine with a Xsi with a large flash and a 75-300 Zoom and I don't have any problem. I have a photo and video business for events.
I always carry 2 still cameras. The other one with the short lens. I wish I'd buy 2 more R-Strap for the other camera and the camcorder.
It's expensive since I live in Mexico, I have to pay international shipping plus duties and the dolar is 40% more expensive now than when I purchased mine.
But, I recomend it 100% the best accesory I have purchased so far
I just had to say it: good product, idiot guy wearing a BLACK shirt in the video to demonstrate a BLACK strap on a BLACK camera. Jesus F*ng Christ, didn't he see that would've been a bit of a problem for the viewer?
Not possible at all...one of the main reasons I use one of these. The pick pocket would have to either unscrew the mount all the way out of the tripod threads, or reach all the way around your head to the other side and take it off. It's hard enough to take it off myself.
Our innovative products offer security and rapid access to your camera and equipment, giving you both peace of mind and freedom as you pursue that amazing shot.
I wore a black shirt to show how Stealth this strap can be.. all you would see would be a black strap. Once you use the Rstrap you will see how great this product is.. thanks for you comments.

Looks like a great strap (for men only though). One tip about your video though - next time you need to wear a non-black shirt because it is hard to see the strap against your shirt.

amigamaria001 theres a quick-release adapter you can get, the unfortunate part is that it's another 15-20 bucks, but it solves your issue

with dambo on the black-on-black. What are people thinking? Nothing!

Actually...there is a flaw to this strap.
You have to apply tension to the strap when swinging your camera upwards inorder for the strap doesn't move on you..

I highly doubt you will get patents for this.
Playing with camera straps is as old as cameras themselves.

It would be better if wou wear a white shirt, just for contrast, as a photografer you should know.

I know this is an ancient comment, but I expect he was trying to show the stealth aspect of the strap. Perfect for papparazi

i think if a pick pocket saw this, i think he could get your camera off of you pretty easily.

Also the ring clip has a locking collar which they don't show in the vid...so it's impossible for anyone to un-clip the camera easily.

I tried it with my 5D2 and a 70-2002.8 IS, and it worked great.
Obviously you wont be able to run around like a jack ass and not expect it to swing.
I got mine locally from Kenmore Camera. <3's it.
