There is no "war". This is a mythical war created by right-wing media. Nobody is offended by Christmas. These groups simply do not want religious displays in public areas unless all "beliefs" are included. Christmas is a secular holiday but these nitwits don't realize that. There is nothing Christian about drinking eggnog, exchanging gifts, spending time with family, great food, parlour games etc.
