So they are celebrating tearing down there old stadium...well I guess the cowgirls have not had anything to celebrate in a long time. Maybe they will have a huge celebration when they get rid of Tony Homo. Then they make actually win something instead of just puttering out at the end of every season.
I saw some killer ball games there over the years. I even saw the Reverand Billy Graham speak before the first ball gamer was ever played in that stadium. President Lyndon B. Johnson was his guest speaker. Ladybird was there too. Fond memories.
i was sad when they blew this one up :( But also happy cause when Taylor Swift came to dallas she decided to have it at COWBOYS STADIUM! ahaha when were in the nosbleed section but HEY! it was AWEEEEESSSSOOOMMMMEEEE
lol so funny how people are saying they are happy it came down so they can take a dump on it, so much hate because they know that dallas will be on top next year! And eagles? really? If your an eagles fan why dont you just go punch a puppy
@CelesteK They moved from Irving to Arlington, not even halfway across the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. I lived in the metroplex when they started building the new stadium and I actually didn't know they demolished the old one until just now. I thought they were going to leave it for high school championships and conventions and stuff.
ironic...Casey Rodgers (?) destroyed the old Cowboys field, and Aaron Rodgers christened the new one by destroying the Steelers in the new one, along with all the hopes of your having a home field Super Bowl. Still crying in your Lone Star beer I guess.
@kkeaglesfan7 LOL Uh...Who are you to determine i have no life?Through a screen? Huh.Do you not know how that looks and sounds? AHA ! Wow.Who Has no life now?
watching studuims fall is like watching a lost memory im not cowboys fan but its painful yet fun to watch your home studuim collapse the end of an old era and the start of a new
Whether you are a fan of the Cowboys or not, you have to admit how sad this sight is. So many memories, literally up in smoke. So many great games have been played at that venerable stadium, and it seems a shame that progress should leave such memories behind.
@Myworthlessaccount you really think that's the case? What else were we supposed to do with it? Just leave it there and never use it again, or turn it into something else? If we have just left it there then it would've been a waste of resources and landscape. If we used it for something else then it wouldn't be Texas Stadium anymore. Blowing it up in a way was a respectful way of saying goodbye. Just like burning the U.S. flag when it no longer is eligible to be flown
@Myworthlessaccount well in Romo's last game he threw 3 TD, completed 23/26 passes which gave him a 88.6% pass completion and the great majority of every single one of those passes were 50 yards or more. We ended up winning that game 44-7 and now we're only one win away from being tied for 1st place in our division. And the team that's ahead of us is about to enter a short series of really hard games and we're about to enter a short series of really easy games. And Jerry paid for 55% of the dome
On Tuesday 11 September 2001, W.T.C. 7 (although it was hit by no plane) collapsed, @ free-fall speed, 20 minutes AFTER the B.B.C. announced its demise. Some conspiracy theorists claim that 19 Arabs, who appear on no passenger-lists, crashed jumbo jets into 3 landmark buildings at 580 M.P.H. Of course that speed exceeds design & structural tolerances for air buses at elevations below 1,000 feet as the drag rips them apart.
@smokingintherain56 > So that is what that whooshing noise was I heard... the joke flying over my head. Ha! I saw this stadium being built, and here was the first time I had seen the whole thing from beginning to end. Another piece of history turned into a parking lot (or in this case, a freight yard)
They should use buildings they want to demolish as target practice for artillery. I bet a couple hundred 155mm shells could have about the same effect.
@babigos For one thing, Texas isn't a backwards place. It's the best place on earth. Especially dallas. And there were fireworks to celebrate the history of such a wonderful stadium. So you can go back to wherever you live and just be jealous that you don't get to see fireworks that often.
Being from New York and watching the history of Yankee Stadium be taken down piece by piece...I love how Texas just said fuck it and blew up the whole damn thing.
@TheDallasDude It just has no life. Its so fucking gay. The big TV ruines the game. Its not the biggest stadim ever. Theres no life to it. I wont say it's bad looking cuz its really luxurious. But you just dont\'t feel like its for football its like its made for old, rich, farts.
@99XXPERSIANLOVERXX99 When Jerry Jones became owner, he said that he wanted to make a big stadium for his football team. That goal has been accomplished
@TheDallasDude THAT MADE NO SENSE. I understand its big. That does not change the fact that its gay. And yes Jerry Jones wanted to make a big gay fucking stadium, whoop dee fuckin doo, mission fucking accomplished. Hmm I also remember he wanted to win a super bowl once in a while not once every 16 years.
Too bad they didn't leave Tony Romo in there.
