do you have to complete the whole level to keep the relic or just save quit select level?

At least on PC all you need to do is collect it unless you deleted the autosave file like me. If you did then you better save the game otherwise there's no need to.

Also the above speaks of the game with no patch. I don't know if the patch changed anything regarding this because when the patch came out I was already done with this game.

you have to go through the whole i game or

you could just go to the level and get the acheivments and it might not be saved thoug

You do have to go through the game at least once. After that you can do it on treasure hunt mode (skipping to whatever level you want directly).

At least both on PC and PS3 it all gets saved. You have to hack your way into starting a fresh game with every item in it again.

If you mean the one at the very end: at the time I wasn't sure if I was going to do the full walkthrough so I took the opportunity to show 2 of the most smartly hidden treasures in the game.

No, I mean at the first bit.

In the hints when I played it said it was useful, but in the end I just did the grapple mouth thing.

I used that one to go for the relic. I also used it on my way back but you can just jump from the hammer or the other column to connect the grapple for that. If you're not going for the relic you can just ignore that stone completely.

i tried this about 30 times! but if you look at the video carefully you will see what the trick is: righ after you grab the wall, ROTATE Lara BEFORE START SWINGING, that´s how i finally grabed that damn ledge. Good luck

It's a tricky jump. With a bit of persistence you'll get the hang of it sooner or later.
