  • Very helpful thanks. I got to the motor and cleaned it up and dryer worked fine for about a week. Now motor makes squeaking noise as it turns, like no lube, but I don't see any lube points. Then it turns off about 5 mins into a run. Do you know of any remedy for this issue? (besides new motor). Thanks in advance!

  • I did it! Thank you! I cleaned my lint vents and replaced the heater box and thermostat. Thanks for showing a girl how to fix her own dryer. And to think I was about to buy a new one ... It was as easy as the videos look. Awesome job.

  • Al the thermoastats/fuses and heater elements had continuity. Even applied an external 110 across the heater coil and and the thermostats and they got hot. There's 110 volts to each point measuring to the chassis or the neutral wire but it still doesn't get hot. Can it be the timer? Thanks much.

  • great help, i bought the rollers for 10.99 and got it fixed in a short time. but before i started using it the dust seals that go around the edge to prevent the lint blow by...are they 100% needed or can i just open this up once and awhile and vacuum out the inside. no idea this was so easy to do thanks a million(or at leat the 150 the job might have cost)

  • These videos were excellent! My dryer stopped working this morning--was heating but drum stopped turning. I assumed it was the belt. Using these videos I took it completely apart, cleaned a ton of junk and crud out from all parts, couldn't figure out what was wrong but guessed it might be the motor. I reassembled it anyway and it is now running perfectly again. Don't know why. Don't be afraid--dryers are pretty simple machines. Even a 60 year old housewife can whip one into submission.
