  • you know some people say that the power of awesomness that chuck norris produces in a life time is produced in a half a second in this vid

  • Go Paul! George and John may be gone but the Beatles will never ever die.

  • this is the paradise, right? we could'nt be in the earth, really...

  • I like the candor of this movie, even though it's clear that there is so much tension between everyone.

  • I about cried when Paul played 'Let it Be' and 'The Long and Winding Road'. It just melted my heart.

  • I can't help but wonder why Paul dropped the "There will be no sorrow" verse.

  • Mother Mary is hes mum :)

  • None of the Beatles are dead.

If their music still has life, so do they.

  • I could Listen to Them for Hours... InFact That's what I do ♥♥♥♥♥

  • サムネのポールが怖いw

  • hey i don't believe in mother mary but i believe in letting it be

  • The solo on let it be in the version used in the Naked project. So is the entire version of long and winding road. Just beautiful.

  • Damn! even yoko could feel some of the pain and suffering during the long and winding road but u could tell tht Paul was relly trying to hold back the tears

  • Also I'd like to add that I'm not putting John down or saying that he was untalented but when I look at all of the things Paul has accomplished and even just watching this movie, it seems clear to me that Paul was the creative force behind the Beatles. Also if you go to one of Paul's concerts, he plays a lot of Beatles songs, and I'd wager that the Beatle's songs he plays were most likely written solely by him. One will also notice that those songs are the best ones from the Beatles catalogue.

  • I feel like there is this whole misconception that John was the leader or the "genius." And when I hear that I get the feeling that people only say that because John was so avant-garde and dramatic and of course he was the first beatle to die. I'm not saying that John wasn't talented, far from it.

I just think that this movie proves that once Brian Epstein died, Paul took it upon himself (in a control freak manner) to be in charge and write, play, sing, and pretty much do everything 67-70

  • I never liked this version of the solo on Let It Be.

  • Is that Billy Preston on keys? Wow...

  • I've never really liked 'Let it Be' so much as their other songs but watching Paul sing it I felt like I finally got it. They're amazing aren't they? And Georges hauir is just The. Best. Thing.

  • I'm perpetually amazed at the Paul McCartney detractors. He led the group in so many ways. His talent in this sense becomes more apparent to me after many years of listening to and loving The Beatles' music.

  • @ColdMountainWater McCartney was alittle arrogant, i don't say that but many people thinks like it. I love him, but John Lennon was the original founder and leader of the band and in my opinion not Paul but his fans dismissed John, after the Beatles split it was obvious that Paul needed John (Dear Friend and Too many people), but John finally neede Paul too (Dec. 8 1980). I love John specially, but most of the people underestimates him, Paul carried the band, but the leader was John.

  • @WiltatKansas You're right. John led the band in many ways, too...and it's true -- they needed each other in many ways.

Perceptions of Paul being arrogant perhaps owe to a combination of confidence, cockiness & pride. I see his detractors failing to see this confidence as well-founded, however, as Paul's ear for sound, melody, arrangement, etc. was so finely tuned. As was John's, respectively.

I always viewed Paul trying to keep standards high & willing to put himself out on a limb to do so.

  • I think that might be the best version/take of let it be that includes the album and single versions

  • 1:55 Yoko lurking in the shadows, lol

  • Let it Be was very much The Paul McCartney Show with John Lennon, Ringo Starr and George Harrisson.

    Such a shame.

  • @richard10013 probably a good sign since all the material the other did think was good enough to put on the album was less than stellar

  • Ringo looks really sad in this whole movie.

  • @iTzDylanLoL It's almost as if he knows the end is near... as if it isn't obvious enough from the way they are acting around each other...

  • @iTzDylanLoL people always said that about him but thats just how his face looks

  • @iTzDylanLoL I think George is more bummed. I would be too if my mates wouldn't let me sing.

  • thanks ROCKCHICK2112 ;) UROCK!!!

  • oh my god look at their faces...

  • Billy preston is a badass keyboard player.

  • George's solo steal Let It be

  • @BL80488 It's an important integral part of the song.

  • kinda cocky of paul looking right into the camera

  • Wow. That was brilliant!

  • I love the original "Let It Be" album, but I'll take Billy Preston's organ solo in "The Long and Winding Road" over Phil Spector's schmalzy production any day!

  • The song was played and recorded in C.

If you watch McCartney play the song in videos he is playing it in C.

    Period.

  • I think the reason that Let it Be is in C# instead of C is because the Beatles often raised the pitch of they're songs to make them sound younger. This was done a lot on Sgt. Pepper's. i.e. Within You Without You, When I'm Sixty-Four, and Lovely Rita.

  • nah it's just the bad quality

  • @DinoDude65 Or maybe it's because they felt like it.

  • @Chelseaness09

    True, true.

  • @DinoDude65 Oh well they're still amazing. :-D

  • Really good performance of both "Let it Be" and "Long and Winding Road", I really wish when I'm watching that I knew what Lennon was thinking. I also wish he'd play one of his songs too.

  • Sadly, it seems that there are more people in this film who are departed than those who are still with us.

  • I have been listening to the Beatles ever since my older siblings played each new Beatle record over and over in our house growing up (over 40 years ago!). Watching this film today makes me realize (again) just how great they were. I remember we watched these "new" clips on Ed Sullivan show in early 1970. At the time, we thought it was their most recent. We did not realize that it was filmed (Jan `69 ) before Abbey Road was recorded ( mid `69) and had been sitting on the shelf for over a year.

  • i know the audio higher on let it be and long and winding road but i like how it sounds on long winding road it sounds like a sweet lullaby perfect 4 goin 2 sleep it makin me sleepin lolims

  • my personal definitive version of 'The Long and Winding Road' - key change or not

  • This video sounds too fast, I dont think its a matter of key.

  • MisterMasterShafter has it right, why would Let It Be of originally been in C# lol?

  • Or else the video's playing a schmidge too fast, which I think because every song in the film so far is faster and higher key than the record/CD versions - even what's on Anthology.

  • please, I can say no more.

  • Dang, that was a BEAUTIFUL performance John and Yoko look peaceful Paul looks and sounds blessed. I miss George and John. Ringo is great too of course.

  • why is John just sitting there?

  • He's playing bass, ya can't see it.

  • Hey Paul. Don't bogart that joint, my friend. Pass it over to me.

  • Let it be is such a moving song.

  • Ont of the BEST songs ever written, "Let It Be"...

  • This version of "The Long and Winding Road" is so much better than the album one. That one's okay, but this is so much sweeter and simpler.

  • how bout billy prestons contibutions on these songs as well as get back that actually got credit for. a great artist in his own right i saw him backing clapton several years ago

  • George Harrison is playing a rosewood Fender telecaster on Let it Be. I love the look of that guitar!!!!!

    He solos at 2:44.

    Awesome!!!

  • Great video, and Paul looks like he's been into some good weed.

  • Really touching. So many years have passed, but this music is forever young, forever perfect.

    Like it, thanks for posting!

  • Well said!

  • His voice sounds more Paul-like in this video on let it be, it sounded deeper on the record

  • cuz he's high

  • The recording is a half-step lower than this video. If this is the key it was officially recorded in, then it must have been artificially slowed down, so you're right.

  • wouldn't be the first time they slowed a track down though

  • @Ezekial88 Not to mention, that Phil Spector was the one that edited the track for the album (I would assume).

  • I just meant this sounds more like his earlier voice.

  • Beautiful voice! (Paul)

  • The best 7:50 I've ever heard since Scenes From An Italian Restaurant.

  • but was by the beatles paul would not have been so great that were perfection thanks to their intelligence and hard work was a very big stick to asus ideals paul

  • say what?

  • Couldn't have said it better myself.

  • ME ENKANTA "DEJALO SER" HERMOSA

  • fuck off yoko

  • I love this version of Let It Be

its just so Raw, i love it

I wish i could find the mp3 file for it

  • I think its the same as the version on Let it Be -Naked, the remixed album from 2003.

  • Similar, but not the same take. There were several cuts recorded on 1/31/69 and the "Naked" version has been remixed the way Paul and Ringo wanted it, without overdubs.

  • Mabey there is a similiar version on the anthologhy-records?!

  • I was 17 years old when the movie was released...i recall going to see it with friends and all of us being saddened because we had been hearing of the breakup but we all wanted to stay in denial that the boys who'd changed it all would not be the beatles any longer...

i have truly remained grateful that i experienced all of it!

  • yeah this guitar solo is 10x better than the one on the album

  • There is no comparison. The solo on the album is MUCH better!

  • and without the overproduction of Phil Spector

  • It really is a joy to watch The Beatles in action

  • Neil Aspinall R.I.P

  • these two song 's are just briljant.

so mutch feeling in these song 's

I just love the beatles there music is timeless.

  • 2 of my favorites of all time
