I never understood this fight. First off, here you fight him when Baxter is still human. Second, after you finish him off, next cutscene shows him in his Fly form.
How the hell that happened? When and how he transformed? It always bothered me when playing this.
In the first animated series he became a mutant bug, and eventually ended up being stuck in Dimension X for good.
In the classic series and elsewhere he never became a mutant bug, although he had much worse things happen to him that are pretty graphic. Unlike the Baxter from the classic cartoons however he does have a happy ending.
The producers of the classic cartoon used an almost entirely different storyline, because they felt the comic's storyline was too dark.
I think the designers put him in there as a way for players to build up their scores before the next level since on the snow level and the level where you are on a skateboard, you don't earn a lot of points, so they had to balance the points out somehow.

Yes, I agree. I hate that guy. I hate all those bad guys. The Foot. Bebop and Rocksteady. And the Purple Dragons.

Thats one reason I loved the arcade version... The characters used to crack me up with their lines!
I thought Baxter was crazy when he came out talkin bout "Yippi Ki Yay". I couldnt help but to laugh. LOL

Are there any differences in the cut scene in the arcade version after you beat Baxter Stockman?

yeah, instead of the mutant Baxter, you get Bebop and Rocksteady, with Rocksteady saying:
"Come and get 'em shell brain" and Shreder: "HAHAHAHAHA"

This game was fun, but what was disappointing was you used the same technique on just about every boss, unless you just had a death wish.
