I noticed by your channel listing that you appear to be in Chicago. Who's your cable provider? Do they tend to leave the recording permissions alone? I'm looking at getting one of these things so that I can record shows like "Falling Skies," but I've heard that comcast has just about everything locked down so that you can't convert them to something you can burn for a Blu-Ray.
@cubdukat I'm in a suburb of Chicago, but from what I have seen, Comcast (who I use) does not put the copy protect flag on. Admittedly, I've only tested this on several channels (WGN, Comcast Sports Net, WCIU, ABC, TNT, TBS).
1:09 irony! :D
