Despite having too many gadgets and an underwater battle that goes on way too long, 'Thunderball' is still one of my favorite Bonds. Great villains, great locales, one of the best intro sequences and one of my favorite Bond girls, Claudine Auger. Plus, Connery still seems to be enjoying himself.

My other favorite Bonds: FRWL, Goldfinger, Casino Royale, Dr. No, OHMSS, TSWLM, TLD.

I saw this with my best friend when it came out. We double dated - first time out with real girls.

Some time during the movie I heard a loud WHACK. I looked over and saw Richard slightly stunned with a red handprint on his cheek.

Apparently he'd gotten a little over amorous with Linda. He looked like, 'Gosh, it works fine for James Bond!?'

Yeh- Luciana Paluzzi and Claudine Auger,Daniele Bianchi are in a different league to Olga Kurylenko and Gemma Arthurton-old ones are always the best!

"Thunderball" and "Goldfinger" are still and always will be the two best Bond movies. Has anybody else noticed "Moonraker" was nothing more than "Thunderball" in space, right down to the battle with lazer rifles in space in "Moonraker" compared to spear guns under water in "Thunderball?"

Moonraker was nothing more than a shitty movie. I would not compare it to Thunderball in any way. Outer space is no place for 007!

Luciana Paluzzi was a hottie. She made a great femme fatale. But, IMHO, although Claudine Auger was certainly beautiful, she was boring and wimpy in "Thunderball." Shirley Eaton as Jill Masterson in "Goldfinger" -- now, there was a gorgeous, sexy Bond Girl.
