This is why Bonham is so revered. The ghost notes on the snare, the off-time accents on the hi-hat, the terse, perfect little fills, and the whole thing played with that behind-the-beat Bonham feel that gives it a subtle funk vibe. Bonham was not a technical monster but he had an undeniable genius for writing memorable and perfect drum parts for LZ's songs. He had a very deep understanding of rhythm and pulse. Can you imagine being a bass player and having Bonham for your drummer? Heaven!

@bloomtoferal its a variation of the purdy shuffle,jeff porcaro done it with rosanna,the thing is ,they made it look or sound as easy as putting the kettle on,the fuckers,lol..bonzo and porcaro are dead so they`re probably doing more complicated shuffles wherever they are now...
