And yet all the albums of his film scores hardly mention Steve Bartek, when it was he who did all the work. Not to mention Danny Elfman often declines interviews, and is one of the most unapproachable composers in the industry. Theres something shady about all of it. Its interesting, because steve is such a hard worker, and often in a film, they are pressed on time, and its danny's fault.
@spencertron88 - Steve Bartek receives credit for everything he does as co-arranger, conductor, and so on. Danny relies on him because he doesn't read or write music and Bartek does. As for the composition, it's all Elfman.

Danny elfman dropped out of highschool, joined the circus, and never had any formal music training.
It's never too late! In my honest opinion, Danny Elfman has enough money to go to Juliard! He should be able to score for himself, and arrange and orchestrate and do ALL the hard work, for himself.
I can't look at a danny elfman soundtrack the same way now...
I like how he talks about Prince and Madonna's work taking precedence over his in the eye of the public when, 20 years later, no one remembers 'Batdance' (almost no one) and the Batman theme is legendary.
@postyesterdayman Slight correction: Danny Elfman is legendary. I only know about Prince because there's adverts on my old Red Dwarf tapes - and I always wind through the adverts XP
But he can't be the "Music God" or "Sex God". Danny already claimed both of those, so...I guess he'll have to settle for "Boingo Video Supplier God". Which is pretty awesome too.
