  • Just picked up my uke for the first time today, skimmed some videos that were far too long winded and difficult, then opened this andf have had the tab open for 2 days now and i've finnaly got it down, Thank you @captainbirdseed for your simple, easy to follow tutorial for this classic, can't wait to get out dueling!

  • @OGKush2010 Hey , thank you . anything i can help with just ask .

  • He picks a, then e, then c, then g. All in order from bottom to top. He just picks them

  • Wow. You are a good teacher. I thought I could not pick this up but I follow you until the fast part. Got lost on the picking. Thanks though

  • whats the plucking pattern at the end ? is it Gstring and Astring ?

  • loving it

  • @andythenurse67 thanks

  • @MrMadpierre its my preference and in my opinion there is no right or wrong style to play the uke , the reason i do it with one finger is my finger is going up the strings anyway so i think this peice of music is about speed and i think for me its quicker .

  • Nice video, stumbled by it just by curiosity, but it's a really good tutorial :). Are you from Birmingham (or there abouts)? I'm just curious; I picked up your accent because I live in Cannock, Staffordshire (18 miles from B'ham).

  • @MrMadpierre thanks for your kind comments , the finger picking speed does take time to get right .

  • I absolutely LOVE this tutorial. We were listening to it in the car (the original) and my dad was like OMG! YOU NEED TO LEARN THIS ON UKULELE. So I was looking for ages, and then came across your video. There is only one bit i'm struggling with though - the fast bit towards the end. When your fingers are in the F posistion is it. G, E, A, E, A or is it G, A, E, G, E or something completely different? Thanks in advance :D

  • @ChipmunkMix67 thanks for the comment , the fast bit is F,C,G,C thn back to F .

  • @captainbirdseed1 I mean, what strings and in which order.

  • Awesome job ... i never thought i could learn this , you explained things quite well !

  • great tutorial.. you made it easy to follow.. thanks.

  • @bsparks911 Thank you for watching

  • FANTASTIC THANK YOU.........

  • what are your fingers doing t the quick bit? thats the only part i didnt get, great video though! :)

  • @lesleyannemcintosh hello , i put my fingers in the f posiston but just pick top string and bottem 2 strings same for the g and the c and then its just practice your speed picking

  • Thank you so much. have you got your tenor ukulele tuned like a soprano for the song? and is that a skylark ukulele cause it looks just like mine.

  • @BenjyMehCohen Hello and thankyou for watching , its a lanikai uke and its a concert not a tenor , glad you liked the video

  • @captainbirdseed1 it is identical to my tenor skylark, I guess concert and tenor are simmilar sizes. still, thanks.

  • can you please explain the quick bit, what strings are you picking and also redcap on the order of these chords? thank you

  • Before the start I would have though I'd never get this one, but it was a great tutorial, easy to follow and well laid out, nice one. Just getting to grips with it now.

  • @4stringsandme thank you i thought it would be hard to play but its just a repeat finger pick and a 3 chord variation .

  • Great tutorial! Thanks!

  • @TheSsd8 thank you for watching .

  • You are a fantastic teacher! This is a really great tutorial. Thank you!!

  • @amandadei Thank you very much if theres any other song i can help you with just ask .
