  • I remember sitting by my father's side, watching this on T.V. and tears were rolling down his cheeks... he was crying,

    "those poor little children"

He died of a massive heart attack, 3 months later. I was 10, and my sister was 4.

  • I was 11 years old when these events unfolded. It was like the entire world changed over night. One day the world was all innocent and springtime, the next there was a war on TV and the sound of new strange rock music. What an exciting time to grow up in.

  • what,s the name of this tune

  • I remember when our teacher at school informed us of the death of JFK. It was gut wrenching. It seemed like the whole town erupted into agony. JFK was one of the greatest presidents in the history of our nation. He and Bobby saved our country from nuclear war. Our country owes our very existence to JFK and Bobby.

  • @theundercoveratheist JFK and RFK wanted to stop the nuclear war and wars of any kind, but the American establishment wanted to continue their foreign policy based on security. If both had lived, or even one of them, not only America but the whole world would have been on a different course today. But may be, the American establishment and military-industrial complex could not wait for the 1970s to start or perhaps, 1980s to start (if both brothers have had two terms) for their war strategies.

  • @sidrahsiddiqui I also read he and his brother wanted to clean up the unions. Reportedly they were told they would never get away with it. They'll kill you first...

  • @801liveable unions are a disguised mafia, another kind of organised criminals. what have american unions achieved?

  • @sidrahsiddiqui man, is that ever stupid. kennedy got into power on a phony missile gap, was constantly threatening Cuba until the Russians forced him to agree to leave it alone, was sending advisors in Vietnam and accelerated the whole nuclear arms race.

  • @andrelebaron there is nothing that you said here that I would disagree with. I think he was silly when he listened to his military advisors and did all of these things. He got into his senses in 1963, which is why he was forced out of the Oval Office.

  • the day this funeral happened was the funeral for America as well

  • I couldn't spot Fidel Castro at all walking amongst all the dignitaries.

  • I was just 8 yrs when all this happened, we watched it in school. I was a really big deal

  • You have this faggot who dominated "justice," ( The Justice Department), holding the power within the FBI for decades, who was nothing more than a dirty blackmailer. Weirder than your typical gay man, no one disputes his cross-dressing lifestyle or his live-in boyfriend.

These are the "Men who Killed Kennedy."

And then they buried this family man, flawed as he was:

  • @2002montana at least we know Kennedy like pussy. he was the OG when you think about it,gangsta all the way with his dad and girfriends and drugs. I love those stories about the Secret Service procuring young hoes for him.

  • How sad! John-John's birthday was the same day as his Daddy's funeral. It's so heartbreaking to see him saluting his Father. The whole country probably dabbed a tear at the sight of that.

  • Jacqueline Kennedy did everything right. During these very dark days, she gave us pride and what she did for her husband, how she honored him, she did not only for herself but on behalf of the country. The only satisfying aspect of those 4 terrible days.was the knowledge that our beloved President was well honored - and Jackie was entirely responsible for it.

  • I think the family were the only ones that saw him in the casket.

  • Im 14 so obviously I never witnessed this

but I've always gotten really sad when ever someone mentions President Kennedy :(

  • @Afgsusan1 I was 10 years old when this occurred. The teachers @ school sent all children home & many were crying. President Kennedy's funeral marks the 1st time that I ever saw my own mother cry. It was truly heartbreaking & marked a true turning point in American history as far as our "moral fiber" & respect is concerned. President Kennedy tried to do what was "Right" for ALL people, regardless of race or walk of life. Few men in our politics can measure up to Kennedy's heart.

  • The only thing in my life time that compares to this, is the deat of Lady Diana. A whole country in mourning.

  • I like the riderless horse. An interesting symbol.

  • hat does that mean??

  • Does anyone know who the narrator is for this video?

  • It' Richard Basehart, if i spelled it right. He played the admiral in the old TV show Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.

  • @AmberWaves444

    you did

    I have this on VHS

  • @shyamster Yes, it is Richard Basehart and actor, he played Admiral Nelson in Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.

  • ill never forget little john saluting as long as i live

  • And it was his third birthday. How sad.

  • Should it be conditional? I think not...no. I do think everyone should take part in being responsible for their health; eat right, don't smoke, etc. but what about accidents? Illnesses that are hereditary? Shit that happens? Do we deny care for these? No. No. And speaking of Whole Foods, their CEO callously suggests that all people need to do is eat foods from his store...no health care ever needed. Bull honkey!

  • Dont turn my country into a socialist shithole, JFK was the last quasi-conservative Democrat, his successors have been shamed.

  • An era has passed...Rest in Peace Edward...Robert...John...I was 6 when JFK was taken so violently from all of us...my mother wept...father was distraught and I do remember it. Lifelong Democrat that I am...please, we MUST keep speaking out for the poor and those who have no voice. Please let us all urge for healthcare for EVERY American.

  • Well Said!

  • Jackie is amazing. The way she carried herself and her strength and bravery that day was just unbeatable. She's so intelligent and beautiful and the best First Lady ever!

  • Jackie trumped everyone that day, her bravery and her "in your face" attitude walking to the funeral to the sound of the bagpipes, she showed everyone her strength and resolve. RIP Jackie, John, John Jr., Robert and now TED. God Bless You ALL!!

  • @marym499 Thank you for your kind words.

  • Over the past few days, I had been watching "as it was happening" news reports of the assassination on YouTube. Lee Harvey Oswald was, without a doubt, a heartless (censored) who should've been allowed to live to suffer for his horrible crime.

  • Yeah, in case he were the one who did it. Which is highly unlikely.

  • Very likely, actually.

  • I am sorry, I had been watching reports about the assassination, and read numerous books about it - and cannot agree. From motive to the gun, to the view, to the information about changed route... Let's agree to disagree.

  • Why do you think Ruby killed Oswald? How did Ruby get into the police quarters? How come policemen pumped all blood out of Oswald instead of trying to save him to get before a trial? To me, there are too many big things and details that show Kennedy's assassination to be mystery for much longer.

  • While I do believe that Lee was the gunman, one thing I do agree with is that he did it as part of a conspiracy. I have my own theory as to who two of the figures in the plot may have been, but I won't post it here, if anyone wants to know, just send me a private message here on YouTube, I'll tell what I think in private to spare those who don't particularly care either way.

  • thank you for your post. I have studied and read 50 or more works about this great man. Your video furthered my studies greatly..again thank you for your time

  • I'm not a fan of Kennedy, but I appreciate how loved he was by the world, and how charismatic he was.
