  • I was going to make a video response but my best memory that has to do with games is when I went to PAX 09. I had planned it with some long time friends I had only associated with for a few years trough Xbox Live. We looked around Seattle and had a great time seeing and playing unreleased titles and sitting through panels. We also had a blast at the midnight concerts PAX was hosting.

I think probably other good memorys must be staying up all night with my friends playing GuildWars and back in the day ConquerOnline.

I remeber my first game was PokémonRed on my solid GreenGBA.

Hope this is what you were looking for but spending hours on MW2 is a good thing too. Happy New Year!

  • When I was 12, I got a game genie for the NES for Xmas. A week before Santa Day, I would slip into the closet late at night and find the box. After carefully opening the package, I'd play some Mario with moon gravity for a few hours. Then I'd slip it all back into the package with no one the wiser. I remember being so excited the controller was slippery from my hand sweat. The end.

  • Greetings from Spain. My girlfriend is alike you ^^. Indeed she declares herself your number one fan :D. (I am your fan too).

One of my greatest gaming memories was when I was young (6 years) with the Mario Kart 64. This game was my second cars game, and was a huge in contrast to the games that played before.

  • A long time ago when I was about 7 or 8 years old and the SNES was still popular. I was at a friends house playing it, and I was playing, Super Mario World, (or SMW) and wile I was playing the game at the corner of my eye I noticed they had another TV were they were watching Cartoon Network. I turned my body slightly then I realized that wile I was playing SMW, and beating a level they couldn't beat. I was also watching TV and they looked at me like I was god. And I felt like it for a wile.

  • My cousin got an atari 2600 for christmas and we were visiting for the weekend. We spent every waking moment playing ping pong and some crappy game where the ships shoot stuff from the skies(can't remember the name of it).

Man I still remember thumbs/fingers bleeding from those hard ass joysticks.

  • When I got the playstation for the first time and started playing Final Fantasy 7. Amazing game for its time and it still is a great game. The long hours and the fervent obsession of leveling has made me a RPG fan for life. It all all started with you FF7, damm you squresoft!

  • My best gaming memory was my introduction to the original Warcraft. Paul and Myself went to Sher's house that morning and played it non-stop in Sher's room. Finally Sher couldnt stay awake and went to sleep, So paul and I kept playing all night through to the morning when Sher woke up at about 11am. I think we finally went home at 6pm that night. That was my first introduction to computer gaming in about 1990. Still gaming strong to this day!! For the Horde!!

  • My second particular gaming memory is less about the game than the hackery required to get it going. My brother and I wanted to play Command & Conquer in multiplayer, but we had no network equipment and lived on different floors. I wound up solving it using two modems (V.34 or so), a really long telephone wire directly between them, DOS PPP software, and the little known Hayes command O for online instead of dialing. Good times!

  • I recall one of my first visits to a LAN party. People were playing a few different games, mostly commercial Windows games like Starcraft. I'm not very good with those, but I wound up asking if anyone wanted to play BZFlag. Only one person had even heard of it, but fifteen minutes later we were all playing it together, and having great fun (for hours!). It's an FPS, technically, but the controls and rules make it more of a smooth tactical game than twitch-fest. It's also Free Software.

  • my best memory was when i got cod WaW and played nazi zombies i was the best experience ever i was playing on a HD tv the graphics were awsome

  • The first time I killed another player in Ultima Online was probably the greatest memory of gaming I will ever have. It was terrible, he was obviously AFK and I was bran new to the game. I must have Vas Flam'd him 50 times before he fell. He didn't have anything spectacular on him, but he did have a full spell book. Let me tell you when I held that book in my hands I felt the power of God himself. Soon I found myself summon blade spirits at the Britain Graveyard! Oh the joy.

  • Final Fantasy VIII was released, and having started the series playing Final Fantasy IV I was excited for the game. In a few short days I had made it relatively far Disc 2 right after getting Cerberus. My little brother had started his own game at this point and low and behold when I went to load mine he had saved over it...

I told a friend at school the tragic tale, and he said his brother was playing the FFVIII as well. Turned out his last save was right before Cerberus draw. Copied his save

  • when i saved up my money and spend every last dime of it on a computer. oh what a sexy beast it is.

  • I remember times where i just sat next to my dad as a child and would watched him play Doom for hours.

  • When all we did was play Goldeneye on the N64

  • When me and my friend both got Assassin's Creed for xmas and played it none stop while on xbox live to eachother

  • Back when all me and my best friend tried to do was find co-op games to play together.

  • My best gaming memory is back when the only things mattered where pokemon and the N64.

  • Killing everybody on New super mario Wii XD

  • My Gaming Memory is

The very first time i heard someone in the other end of the hall at "Hackerence" yelling (in Swedish) Who the hell is "BananaZpLiT" ???

...I was dominating on Dm4 - Quake1 and had just pushed a guy out in the lava with my lightning gun by hiding behind the teleporter at the lower level!

The guy deserved to die in the lava tho ofc, since he obviously didnt master the special "moving backwards to the lavasurface then rocket jump to get away from lava" trick =P

  • The first time i was introduced to the Xbox 360 and Wii at the same time! I nearly wet my pants i was so excited. The wii was so cool too me because obviously their was nothing like it the 360 because my friend had bought one and within 78 hours of gameplay it got rrod. lol. Great times............ Xbox 360 Rocks!

First game is on the Amiga.

First game is Lemmings, spending waaay too much time playing it and being blown away by it's originality.

    Oh No!! "POP"

Second is BF1942. Awesome game. Jumping from vehicle to vehicle and the graphics and gameplay for the time. Still the best of the series IMHO.

  • One of my best gaming moments was in an online first person shooter called PlanetSide back during its prime when there were many subscribers. I remember a particularly enormous battle erupted on a single base with as many as 400+ players vying for control. On the outskirts tanks were skirmishing, In the skies above aircraft were dogfighting, inside the base infantry squads were having intese firefights. To this day no other online shooter can come close to the scale of those battles.

  • My best gaming memories were those childhood sleepover parties I had with my childhood best friends playing on the Sega Saturn. It was amazing fun playing Street Fighter Alpha, Virtua Fighter 2 and some 2D old school beat'em ups together. My family and I frequently move around the world, so it's hard for me to establish a stable friendship with anyone. I cherish all the memories of the great time I spend with my friends.

  • My greatest gaming memory was playing Silent Hill 2 for the first time. It was honestly the first game I can, and to this day, still do say rivals Resident Evil 2 for best Survival Horror title of all time. Love the atmosphere of that game. Which leads me to I guess another great gaming memory for me also being playing RE2 for the first time. That game pretty much defines Resident Evil, and was one of the first games to ever truly actually scare me out loud.

  • My Best Gaming Memory is

    The Curse of Monkey Island..

    DEFINITELY!

  • Playing Keith Courage in Alpha Zones, I was the only person with a turbografix 64 amongst everyone I've ever known. The mecha suit was soooo coool. Everyone needs to play this game, it had such catchy and memorable music that i sometimes sing to this day!

  • My favorite gaming memory is definitely the first time I played Grand Theft San Andreas. I was always hungry for a game that let me do what I wanted to do vs. following a story line. GTA III blew me away with stellar graphics and the ability to just drive around...and yes...blow things up but GTA SA put me into a different world. I still remember trying to figure out how to get past those crazy missions. It was awesome.

  • There was one time when my friend got me "Halo ODST" for my birthday. Until one day when my neighbor steals it from me and i can't get back. But then my friend that got me ODST surprised me by putting a cat in my room that had a letter tied to her neck that said "I feel sorry for you but this may cheer you up"

I was really happy. And the cat still loves me today...

  • I remember playing Pool of Radiance me and my brother on Commodore 64 and it was the first time we learned about D&D and RPGs. Of course, at that time our English was so weak we had to read the dictionary whenever an NPC said something. We were so absorbed we didn't mind the slow loading and floppy disk swapping and the Manual keyword searching whenever you wanted to play. Gosh, I just remember how awkward and light those C64 floppies were. Ahh to be a child again.

  • When Leslie Nielsen told my dad that he was the best Pac-Man player he had ever seen.

  • Hey, Nixie.

  • One of my favorite gaming experiences was back around 1988 with the Atari ST and the game Midi Maze. One time we got 16 computers all in a big room, all connected together on tables making a big square. I would sneak up behind someone and then glance over at them sitting at their computer just to see their face as you started shooting them. One by one I picked off the other smiley faces using my old Atari single button joystick until I was the only one left grinning with my thumb worn raw.:)

Sadly, I think he lost faith in our intelligence that day (but we were little little kids then). But even then my sister and I still laugh at this.
