  • 6 people are Phantom

  • @BSBINC1 Are they?

  • now that a fuckin drum solo. but does he misses the stick at 3:13?

  • this is my faveorite Tim Jackson solo EVAR

  • lol the description. "perfect rhythm and stuff"

  • He's so good, it pisses me off.

  • single strokes ftw

  • The girls must love his sticks..

  • Tht was so good I can't even put it in words

  • God, Dude, This is fucking Insane.

  • okay he has some skill ¬_ ¬

  • him fumbling with the stick proves he's human :3

  • He 's from clossmen.

  • holy shit

  • Speaking of bad asses on the set, if anyone hasn't seem him yet, Google "drummer Ryuga". Apparently, Japanese drumming is not ALL about the taiko drums (although I hear they're fun as hell to play).

  • I know he was in Crossmen before BD not sure how long though

  • I just nutted...........again

  • Imagine what this guy could do in a rockband... New Alex Van Halen anybody?

  • @Petrus921 Totally....except Tim Jackson is talented

  • @Petrus921, I give Tim all props, but in my experience with drumlines, it's not necessarily true that being a badass on field drums (corps battery) equates to an equally impressive ability on the set. He may be a phat cat on the set, don't get me wrong, but the two seem to be independent of each other.

  • @Redface19 The 2 are independent. :P He has more experience in Tenor Drums in my opinion. Since he was in BD he definitely had skill there. Drum set is just for fun in my opinion

  • @EveryFirstSecond it was the only one available idiot. i was wanting the name "quadman" but that was taken. also, asshole, ive learned about half of this solo. easy? NO fun? YES and why the hell are you so stupid as to judge someone by their user name? i meant i can recite every word of his introduction BEFORE HE STARTS PLAYING, so pull the tim jackson signature sticks out of your ass and chill

  • tim jackson can play circus galop on tenors

  • i've been learning this for some week now, and i can officially say what he said, WORD FOR WORD, soo BEAT THAT!!!

  • @screamodrummer1234 Based from your username, i can say that you can't do anything like this.

  • DAMN... I just need some toilet paper to my vagina.... and i´m a man....

  • how i wish i could see that in slo-motion

  • @dysouth08 what do you mean..? this is slow motion! XD

  • @dysouth08 that is slo-motion :o

  • @dysouth08 its is in slow mo

  • 5 people are snare players

  • 5 people must play the flute..

  • I saw Tim Jackson at Safeway one time

  • i would give him my right testicle just to have half of his skill... DAAAMMMMNNNN!!! i think if him, and Isiah Rowser started a drum line togather, they would be the best damn this ever...

  • shit i just threw up cuz that was so good

  • we should all get together and transcribe this.

  • worlds fastest....masturbator.

  • omfg that was cool u gotz some mad skillz

  • Most people would use this as inspiration, but for me it just makes me not wanna hold a pair of drumsticks anymore. I don't feel worthy.

  • This guy has no rythm. (Sarcasm at it's finest.)

  • So who is better? Colby Beers or Tim Jackson?

  • @Alevi1994 Tim Jackson is better. Is faster then Colby.

  • This is the best video ever

  • Imagine if this guy tried death metal blast beats. they would be the fastest ever.

  • Tim Jackson...he's like an F-18 playing tenors!

  • i love the way his hands move from :54- 1:00

  • 305-315

    come again

  • epic at 1:02 thumbs up

  • i think he came from the drummer planet

  • I just met Tim Jackson at UNT Marching Percussion Camp in Denton, Texas. He did a clinic for the students at the camp, it was truly amazing to meet him and watch him perform.

  • I keep trying to do what he does at 0:49 i cant get my wrist to go that fast, Tim is fast!

  • @TheConfuzzled21 thats all finger bud. youll kill yourself trying to use your wrist that fast

  • douche douche douche douche douche douche douche douche douche tim douche jackson douche is douche a douche douche.

  • @festereugene hey buddy dont be jealous that you cant do that! you probably go that fast when you jag off every day tho to your mom! cheers to you buddy

  • I saw him at a marching workshop at EKU yesterday. He gave some great demonstrations and talked to us about stick control. He really is a genius percussionist.

  • THOSE DRUMS ARE HIS BITCH.

  • A quintessence of a piece that only Tim Jackson could pull off. The rapid 4's on each hand takes an insande amount of muscle coordination, strength, and endurance, and to see him do that so smoothly and effortlessly truly blows my mind. I play quads at my high school, and hope that we'll be able to do something that cool and hard as this solo one day.

  • i love this guy, only recently found out about him. im going to college in the fall for jazz studies on kit, and unfortunately the school im going to only has a pep band no marching line :/

i played quads in high school and this guy is truly an amazing musician.

I was 'captain' of the entire drum line but we never played anything challenging :/

the one thing i never did learn was stick tricks, tossing, spinning, backsticking, etc while playing. i wish i did they are fricken awesome lol.

  • does anyone know if you can buy this solo anywhere? i'd love to give it a try - or any of his stuff - minus the stick tricks/backsticking stuff, and just a hair slower, maybe 10-20bpms down, i think i just might be able to pull this off, albeit no where near as well as this God of percussion. i'd love to give something challenging a go for once. we played stupid easy music in high school :/

  • seriously...it's so easy a caveman can do it lol nice drumming dude

  • I've never seen so much speed in my life...

  • @CataclysmicX thats what i said last week at my dealers house. lol

  • Yeah. I know him. That's pretty cool and don't complain about rims, you can't do that dudeis90

  • He was complimenting him on the fact that there were no rims...

  • @airsofthlava

he wasnt compplaining. He was saying thats its amazing that he did all those sweeps and he didnt ever hit rim

  • i just cant believe all those sweeps and not a single rim

  • @dudeis90 There's some rim near the end, around 3:40 to the end. The sweeps are unbelievably hard and fast though (that's what she said)

  • SO PRO

  • You must be an idiot to say he's just alright. This is Tim Jackson we're talking about.

  • It's WAY out of sync...

  • u mean him, or the vid/sound?

  • does anyone know where he came from before he was in BD? i've tried to find info but it seems like he just showed up out of nowhere. which supports my theory that he was birthed from rhythm itself some time in 2002. lol

  • he actually marched with capital regiment i believe. and crossmen. he says this on the blue smoke 06 dvd.

  • ya he for sure marched capital regiment in 2003

  • @crazyuki13 no im pretty sure he was with bd in 03.

  • @Chriscade09 dude thats no theory anymore its just fact, Tim Jackson is the child of all rhythm.

  • @Chriscade09 In the 06 Bluesmoke he said he marched with the X men. heres 2002, i think i spotted him.. watch?v=FdcCwcepYO8

  • @Chriscade09 somewhere in Ohio I think

  • @Chriscade09 he marched capital regiment 2000, crossmen 2002, bd 2003-2006

  • @Chriscade09

    Capital Regiment - 2000

    Crossmen - 2002

    Blue Devils - 2003 -2006

    Rhythm X - 2002 - 2007

  • @Chriscade09

lol. he marched with the Capital Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps (2000), the Crossmen (2002), and The Concord Blue Devils (2003-2006).

  • @Chriscade09

I'm pretty sure he was on Capital Regiment and Crossmen before joining BD in 2003.

  • @Chriscade09 haha im pretty sure he did crossmen and blucoats for a year a piece not 100% percent sure though, regardless hes still probably the best to have played tenors this decade

  • @Chriscade09 the Bluecoats he was like outside tenor

  • @dariusdrums nah he was on there staff in 09 but never played with them

  • @Chriscade09 yah he played with crossmen for a year and before that some other small corp

  • @juliothedrummer you are the 38th person to reply to me about this in the last year. highest rated comments that contain questions are a bad idea. hahaha

  • @Chriscade09 think he did capital regiment

  • o shit wow he's crazy ... nice

  • 0:47 shows why he is epic

  • his singles are 10000000% amazing and clean

  • 1:30 groove love it. actually love this whole vid. lol awesome and very clean

  • it was cool and all, although i hate you b/c u make drumming less fun for other people.

  • 3:12 maybe a slip up but it doesnt really matter cuz i can understand how fuckin hard that is... LIKE OMFG, how the hell does he do all that? freakin insane chops thats what and yea... really badass im speechless like i cant even do a decent flam tripplet until practicing it in a month or two hell hes doing stuff that i cant even recognize 75% of the rudiments. thats badass i fav this.

  • damn i love the flam tripplets after the beggining part its sick hes the shit

  • He was my high schools drum instructor during the summer, until a levy failed, and now we dont have anything extracurricular. once in a lifetime opportunity, but that is what you get from having cheap people.

  • hes hand is like..@@!damn fast!

  • He ended that like a caveman!

  • 3:00 i had to change my pants after that moment

  • how you do that

  • the rolls are so clean

  • He drops is left stick i think at 3.12 or some :p

(i where looking for misstakes xD ) hehe

    he is just sick...

    5/5

  • Snares are jealous.

  • @Nobroadcasting Definitely. I've always been a snare player and love all of the DCI solos on here...but there's a lot of good snare players. No one comes remotely close to Tim Jackson. That guy is unreal

  • @Nobroadcasting snares, and everyone who has ever picked up a pair of drumsticks

  • he is absolutely amazing and he just blows my mind away. he is my idol :)

  • this blows all his other i&e solos out of the water, didnt he win each year he was with the blue devils?

  • yeah he won in 03,04,05,and 06 plus his pasic solo in 05 rapid form

  • Every year he competes in it he wins

  • His scrapes were amazing!!!

  • Another EPIC WIN for Tim Jackson.

  • id like to just look at the sheet music

  • I met him tonight =D

  • snare drummers wish they were that amazing

  • this guy isbad ass how old is he

  • he's 20 in this video

  • i dont understand why peole are picking up on his slip ups. he is an ezcellent drummer and wqe should be enjoying it and not picking up his faults.

  • yeah i bet most of the ppl commenting on here cant drum like him so theres really no point

  • its that he messes up but he does it so good that he gets recovery points and the mess ups don't effect him

  • he is soo awesome i love him

  • i just noticed, is that a slip up at 3:12?

  • looks like, but he recovered perfectly

  • @Axias14 just knicked the sticks

  • @Axias14 no 3:15:)

  • @Axias14 Who cares, that was amazing.

  • @Axias14 I'm pretty sure everybody forgives him :) He's a badass either way

  • @Axias14 yup, who cares? he's a badass

  • @Axias14 Yeah it is. The stick didn't bounce straight up

  • @Axias14 yea he fucked up, not to discredit how fucking awesome he is, but yes he did make 1 mistake

  • @Axias14 totally

  • @Axias14 yes, but he recivered so quick that it doesnt even count lol

  • lol if you just watch his sticks its mesmerizing

  • are those rims or stick clicks for purpose around at :40

  • he like didnt even work up a swet!!!! "O.O

  • imagine seeing this guy go off on a regular drum kit!!!

  • Yep, he was with the Blue Devils I think.

  • Did you not pick up my sarcasm?

  • Apparently not, there are a bunch of stupid fuckers on youtube, so you never know. haha

  • did u not hear him introduce himself as a member of the Blue Devils?

  • because he was when he did this solo, what's weird about that?

  • tim is freakin awesome

  • amizing

  • Tim played the same lick in 2:05 in the 2004 solo which was also in 2:05

  • wow my balls jus dropped

  • If you listen you can hear some rhythm x 2005 in there.

  • Fuckin machine

  • HOLY SHIT!!!

  • For the sound problem, pull up two vids and sync them up.

  • what a beast!

  • nicest kid i eva seen on da quints

  • It sounds nice; I'd rather se it with a sound delay then to have never heard it.

    The sound is fine.

  • Yes, the SOUND is fine, the sync is not, and it's very annoying. You lose the impact of the compositional phrasing that Tim intended. To have decent sound and video but see them out of sync does an injustice to the talent of Mr. Jackson. Similarly, I wouldn't want to watch the Aurora Borealis in black and white . . .

  • very beautiful comparison...

  • Also...Un...Freakin'...Believable

  • hes so awesome, its not even funny!

  • damn.. he must be p[layin hella fast with that sound delay hahaa

  • there is a sound delay
