  • jajaj pentium 2

  • O que é isso? lutando de baixo d'agua?------------lololololollololo

    What is it? fighting underwater?------lololol

  • what is this slow fury load ambition lol

    is so slow

  • XDXDXD,, Good clasic Game.... Fatal Fury,,, realmente es una verguenza que este juego de hace 12 años sea vea mejor que la Nueva KOF XII,,,, La kof XII es una porqueria

  • for future sake, next time please edit out all the unnecessary parts of the video such as the for use in japan only warnings, etc, there's no real need to show these parts to prove it's an emulator unless someone is really desperate for such trivial proof

  • Way better than the PlayStation version, but of course the PlayStation can be emulated better than this.

  • I'd agree with LurkingCrassZero... ePSXe can emulate it better than MAME. But hey - no disrespect to the Mecca of emulation! :D

  • ANDA MAL

  • fatal fury (and real bout), king of fighters and Garou arcade series are 1000 better than this 3D remake

  • i always thought Fatal Fury WIld Ambition sounded a bit like a porno name.

Wonder if it would star ORGAZMO?

  • Wild Ambition is in 3D, and is the shame in the whole series. Try something decent.

  • i like the older fatal furies back in the days of Neo Geo/ Sega Genesis

Capcom VS SNK was awesome too.

  • rofl - fatal fury (and real bout), king of fighters and Garou arcade series are 1000 better than this 3D remake

  • Better off running the PS1 port via ePSXe, it runs smooth as hell compared to this!

  • emulation fail

  • i got 80+ mb mame rom?@!@$#%@$

  • On some fairly flame-throwing hardware, I can get this to run, still soundlessly, at about 65% speed, with not-nearly-as-bad body parts (that's caused by frame-skipping, which is an optional speed enhancer that doesn't actually do a great deal in this particular case). That's borderline-playable, with no truly game-breaking bugs...projectiles don't render and lifebars are sort of invisible, but it works. So I think I'll mess about with it for a bit. Thanks for letting me know that I could.

  • great play a 30mhz game at 65% on a 3ghz+ system

sounds like a waste of time.

  • @kenmastersmaster This sounds like you understand ZERO about emulation

  • 3d games dont age as well as 2d graphics. I''ll take the 16 Bit Neo Geo over the 64 any day.

  • Yep. that's why everyone will still always play 2D fighters longer than a 3d one.

  • Has any further work on this been done, by any chance?

  • I think NeoGeo launched this game bcs Fatal Fury one hasn't never an decent honour before

  • where did u download it from ?

  • Neo geo MVS/AES is the best.Best 2D/Sprite Graphics on any machine even by todays standards!!!Metal slug and King Of Fighter series???

  • I noticed this is because MAME doesn't make any use of the 3D acceleration of your card, if at least some outside developer could implement that it would awesome and I'm sure very appreciated.

  • I love the courtesy of SNK of made ever EVER a how to play

  • Ive noticed that nearly ALL higher bit mame games run like this and i have a high spec pc.

I stick to the tried and tested roms from many a year ago.Shinobi, shadow dancer,op wolf, powerdrift, turbo outrun, robocop etc. They are all perfect in emulation.

  • yikes thats how shitty sf3 looked on mame a coupla years ago.

  • "B-B-B-B-BUSTER W-WOL-L-LFF!!!" XD Ah well, it has to start somwhere! SF III is almost perfect on MAME nowadays, just a fuzzy voice or two - I'm playing it at the moment as my 360 is being repaired (AGAIN!).

  • Well, let's hope we don't wait a lifetime before games like Fatal Fury Wild Ambition becomes fully emulated and more playable. Wonder why SNK never even bothered to making these games 32-bit in the first place?

  • Well, at least this game has a port for the PSX.

  • Yes, that's true. I can't wait until it's finally emulated for Mame32, but we'll never know yet.

  • No Duck King or Mr. Karate (Ryo) in NeoGeo64 version of FFWA.

    Play the PSX version

  • True. If you're not gonna play on actual hardware just play the PSX port.

I think it's cool that they have finally emulated the Hyper 64 but for an archiving sort to me. Only games I am looking forward to are the 2 driving games on the Hyper since you can get the fighting games for pretty cheap.

  • oh come on! play the psx version

  • Terry looks like a monkey in his portrait.

  • This video doesn't do any justice for the Hyper Neo Geo 64.

  • Have they totally ceased HNG64 emulation or did they just throw it on the backburner?

No rush either way...people who code arcade emulators are my heroes.

  • se ve mas lento q la mierda

  • interesting!

  • The farthest i got, with CvS 1 & Cannon Spike on Mame32, was the Naomi Board Bios.

That screen alone, is proof that the said bios can, and will work. But because it is incomplete, neither game will actually boot up.

I'll be making a video on this later. To show what I'm talking about.

  • Wow. If you ever got the two HNG64 SamSho games working, I'd be ecstatic. I have the real hardware, but it sure is a pain lugging them out.

  • I'm hoping to see them work soon.

  • Really? By "soon," do you mean "sometime in the theoretical future," or "significant progress is actually being made?"

I think I would build a shrine in your honor if the latter were true. ;)

  • both.

  • *twitch* Any idea what it'll take to get the games to a playable state? I recall Haze was making some progress on them, some time ago, but he pretty much gave up, so far as I'm aware. Call me crazy (everyone does), but I've always had a soft spot for the 3D SamSho games. And Buriki-One is excellent, albeit hard to get used to.

Were you involved in the MUGEN scene prior to Elecbyte's dissolution, btw?

  • I was involved into mugen as of November 28th 2005. From that date, I decided to gut out the engine, and understand it more. There are some things that I know, the docs don't quite cover.

I'm also learning what most haven't found out yet.

  • Also, it would take some serious coding work, to try and get it working. there is no true guarantee, that it will work or not. until a later build is released, and made possible. but that doesn't stop one from trying.

  • jesus christ. it's DEUCE. good to see i'm not the only person frothing for some HNG64 developments.

  • One thing you need to remember also is that the Hyper Neo's video is output at 60fps which would probably explain the flickering. The emulation has a LONG way to go. The intro has some weird graphics that dont belong there.

  • can you emulate Cannon Spike?

  • Cannon Spike runs on the Naomi Board hardware. the Naomi Board in MAME has not been emulated yet.

  • baka

  • All you KOF fans and none of you mentioned KOF 99 lol..98 and 99 are still my favorite and most balanced KOF games in the series.(except for shingo and rugal, shingo gets criticals on nearly every move he does while rugal is over powered and cheap) I can't even be beat if I try losing with Rugal.(He's just as bad in KOF 2002) btw the arcade versions of 02/03 far own the Xbox versions. I'd like to see that 3-D Samurai Showdown arcade game myself that was going to be put on N64 but didnt make it.

  • Hey, what's the difference between UIMAME (originally known as MAME32) and MAME Plus! (or MAME32 Plus!)? does mame plus play more games or play some games better or something? I got UIMAME (upgraded from MAME32) and it's amazing, I have so far 60 games and they all run at 100% arcade perfect, including most CPS2 capcom fighting games and all MK games except 4 (since it's still not "emulatable"...is that a word?) and they all play incredibly, even better using a gamepad...

  • A noble effort in playing through this gratingly slow crap to show us how far they've gotten. I 5'd it on principle alone.

    Regards.

  • Too bad it's not fully emulated. I thought CPS3 was tougher, but that was done, so I don't know what gives.

Good thing I still have the PSX copy.

  • Sad but true, the PSX version is only a shadow of the original and crap compared to the Hyper Neo Geo version. FF wild ambition sucks like all other PSX ports once you have played the original.

  • You're exaggerating. The PSX verion is not too bad actually. And the music for the PSX is also offered on Arrange Mode, while the arcade only offers Original Mode.

  • I don´t want to bash you but the little things are what make a game appealing to me. When i had KoF 95 on PSX i thought "ok, it´s not that bad". Some years later i got the NG AES version and then i truly realized how much was missing (no loading, level of animation, speed, control). The same goes for Wild Ambition. I would say (correct me if i am wrong) you never played the arcade version (and i mean the real arcade, not a buggy emulator). The difference IS big.

  • Of course. The arcade is superior chiefly because there is no loading time. That's why I hardly play my KOF '96 CD on my PSX (very long and unbearable loading times) even though I love the game very much.

And yes, I have played the arcade version FIRST, I liked it and that's WHY I got the PSX version. To me I find not much difference other than the loading time (which is also not very long, fortunately).

  • In the PSX game they even threw in extras like Arrange Mode (music), a completely new 3D-rendered intro movie and new playable characters Mr. Karate and Duck King.

Maybe you can tell me the real differences between the arcade version and the PSX version.

  • is that Raiden from Street Fighter alpha 3? i thought he was a capcom only character

  • ................

Only time Raiden was in a capcom game, was during Capcom vs SNK.

Zangief is from the SF series, including Street Fighter Alpha 3. Raiden is from the Fatal Fury/Garou series

  • well its a step in the right direction for CPS3 emulation, i wouldnt call this playable though, running at what looks like 20-30 FPS

  • Fatal Fury Wild Ambition played on the Hyper NeoGeo 64 hardware. it has nothing to do with CPS3.

  • Very interesting. I'm anxious for this hardware to finally get emulated. Have you made any more progress since this video was made?

  • i've tried a bit more progress. it moved just a few frames faster. but still no sound. the hardware is still partially decrypted, so there's not much to do until then.

  • Hey, what you used to record this ?

  • Hypercam

  • Thanks.:)

  • Geez, it really looks like that shitty tekken, with jumping jack 3D animated characters and useless replays.

Only 2D fighting games rule the world...

Good thing to know it's working on MAME. Perhaps it will work with another kind of games too.

But here, it's glitchy and soundless :/

  • sadly, Buriki One only get as far as the intro, and Samuari Showdown Warriors Rage for the arcade does not get past the initalization screen.

The Hyper NeoGeo 64 hardware is not fully decrypted, hence it is where you see it, until it can be further done, or an emulator of it's own is made.

  • I'm surprised you stuck with that piece of shit as long as you did.

  • This isn't a review. it's only showing that it can run on MAME.

remember, if it's something i don't like, i never make a video about it. ;)

  • Wow, it's quite a surprise to see that at least WA is working, I thought none of the HNG64 games were emulated to a playable form.

Thanks for sharing the video and the info.

  • Intresting.....

  • I simply ask, that you all read the video description. Thank you.
