He does this a lot actually. He won't play with them and then put them all back, but if he sees a toy just lying on the ground, he'll sometimes put it away.

chi-chi is so smart, how do you teach birds things? they are curious yes, but i think i've spoiled my birds by giving them random treats for no reason.

Random treats for no reason? That's what I do, and they are perfectly fine! There is no such thing as spoiling a budgie. I try to!

I taught Chi-Chi when he was a baby. Whenever a toy would fall off the box, I'd just put it back on. He got tired of waiting and learned to put them back on himself.

you're right. budgies do like to follow what they see. bonding with them when they are smaller does seem to help gain their trust.
