I was right there! My truck got covered in dust. I didn't know this video existed. Interestingly enough, this happened at almost the precise moment that the space shuttle Columbia exploded. When I got home, our local weatherman was on CNN saying he heard it explode. What he heard was these buildings collapsing.
They were old dilapidated dorms. Now those areas that were imploded are occupied by newly built apartments for students. The last building that was imploded is a now a Day Care center.
I lived in both places in my student time back on 80-81and let tell u that Voorish was one of the newest and McCollough the oldest by dat time.

They were old condemned dorms. They built a daycare and some apartment style dorms over the these dorm's old locations.

That was Voorhies mens' dormitory, my 7th-floor home 1978-1981. AKA Animal House.

I went to school there from 78-80. I can't remember which dorm I stayed in though. It was a real party college.
