  • I lived in both places in my student time back on 80-81and let tell u that Voorish was one of the newest and McCollough the oldest by dat time.

  • stokes needs to go now lol

  • wow - whoever lived in those dormatories need to take a class on vacuuming and dusting

  • stokes needs to go

  • may be just may be that it will be my university next year ...

  • Why did they do that?

  • They were old condemned dorms. They built a daycare and some apartment style dorms over the these dorm's old locations.

  • Oh thanks for telling me that! :D

  • Old mouton Hall shud b next lol

  • so the math building next!

  • That was Voorhies mens' dormitory, my 7th-floor home 1978-1981. AKA Animal House.

  • i was there too in 1978 january feb and march i think..but i dont remember the name of the dormitory

  • I went to school there from 78-80. I can't remember which dorm I stayed in though. It was a real party college.

  • i remember going to watch that... i especially remember that day because that was the day the space shuttle crashed =[

  • WOW awesome event to witness!!!! I like the one girl's comment... "LET's DO ANOTHA WON!" LOL

love me some ragin' cajuns!!! :)

  • I was right there! My truck got covered in dust. I didn't know this video existed. Interestingly enough, this happened at almost the precise moment that the space shuttle Columbia exploded. When I got home, our local weatherman was on CNN saying he heard it explode. What he heard was these buildings collapsing.

    Good times.

  • haha i thought the same. but it was just this going on 10 miles away

  • "Les do another one"!!!hahaha lol!

  • I live in Lafayette and don't even remember that happening. Wish I could have been there.

  • Woohoo! Do Stokes Next! Do Stokes Next!!!

  • why was this done? lol

  • They were old dilapidated dorms. Now those areas that were imploded are occupied by newly built apartments for students. The last building that was imploded is a now a Day Care center.

  • wait was this by girard park?

  • Yeah, the first one is. The second is a little ways down the street.

  • I wish they would blow crow hall skay high.

  • awww man i partied in those dorms in the the early '80's

  • I didn't get to go.

  • Wife and I were there that day. A truly spectacular event! Heart pounding experience. Literally.
