In terms of animation, Dragon Ball Z Kai was only recolored and remade to an extent. The majority of the scenes are still as old as they were 10-20 years ago. Avatar wasn't remade--and its' animation is therefore more modern.

In terms of story, however, I really prefer Avatar's. Dragon Ball's was good, but it has a few plotholes and ALWAYS made the main character (Goku) make everyone else look weak and inferior. And everything after the Namek Saga just seemed to make it fall imo

I was thinking to for a while, until I heard that it was being exclusively written by the creators, so who knows. Plus the plot sounds pretty cool. The conflict in this series is the people who can't bend the elements are jealous of the ones who can bend, so they start a rebellion and declare war on the benders.

And yeah, about the airbenders, it's either that Tenzin is the only airbender alive or Aang used energy bending to transfer the knowledge of airbending to other people. :P I guess we'll learn about that during the show. The creators did state that "The city (Republic City) has rampant crime though, and is also dealing with an anti-bender revolt." When will this be released? Fall 2011?

Ah found it. *spoilers* Aang's son's name is Tenzin. And the story will take place 70 years after Aang in a city called "Republic City". The creators released this info at some "Comic Con" event thingy. I'm looking forward to this. Yay? :O

I've heard that Legend of Korra takes place about 75 years after Aang's story. So yes it's safe to assume that Aang will be dead. :(

Although Aang may not have much to teach Korra, like Roku, I think they'll show flashbacks about what happened during the 75 years - after Zuko became the firelord.

Ooh, and I read somewhere *maybe a spoiler* that Korra learns air bending from Aang and Katara's son. I forgot his name. :O It really doesn't sound so bad...I mean we gotta give it a chance. :P

@Hockypocky2424 Korra is going to learn air bending from Tenzin (Aang's son), and it is completely safe to assume aang is dead because as soon as Aang died, within one week Korra was born. also, Tenzin is probablly the only air bender alive, if he is Aang's and Katara's only son, and if Aang didn't use energy bending to teach the earth kingdom people at the western air temple airbending. Also, aside from possible flashbacks, everyone from TLA is dead. and the enemies are people against bending
