I got the game when it came out and played it straight for about eight months. I wanted to stay with it, but there were some major problems which I think led to the games eventual death. 1. NO END CONTENT. 2. Abilities would change drastically with every update. 3. Many, many missions were very buggy. 4. PvP was both pointless and hopelessly unbalanced. 5. Suprisingly little replay value. (This is all just my opinion)

No. I still stand by my original opinion but i bailed out from a combination of the community crashing after the first month and financial reasons. and with the servers going down in a week or two there's no point in starting playing again now.

The one major thing that turns me off right a way when I start up the game is the limited charecter appearance customizations. I mean..I spend half of my gaming time in an MMO and dressing up my charecters with armors, dyes etc. It's just a cool, cute and fun thing to do in any MMO. But this game..they just give you sets of faces.. body sizes.. beard, hair and that's it... pretty lame.

yes they let you do all that but what i meant was a deep charracter cuztomization. You know like being able to chose different types of lips, eyebrowns, noseshapes, cheek bones, torso, hip sizes etc.. things like that. And in this game.. armours look all alike.

This game was fun. But it's very boring to look at. I mean there not a "lushness" to the world. It's just kinda bland. Which I think was what is killing off players from the game. It's just..dull and boring. The combat was alright though..

i played this at beta i like the way u can save ur character before u choose a proffesion, there wasn't enough variety of armour around when i tried it, the gfx are wicked though a few nice features but i couldn't stick it out :/

The thing with the dead enemy standing there for a few seconds is NOT a bug.

Every time you kill an enemy with a critical hit, you can overkill them by running up to them and hitting them at melee range (press F).

yes i read the article on its site and new contents is being implimented very soon. You will be able to make a Hybrid charracter (mixture of human race and alien).. new area new creature (they've added a Mech).. I'm excited and considering to pick this game up but can't decide between this or WAR online lol.

when there is an enemy that has like 10 health left and you hit them for like 400, you get what is called over kill. they freze in the air with a red skull over their head susspened for a few seconds. this is not a bug it's supposed to happen. i think you get bonus xp if you do this.

I know about overkill. But early on there was a bug where overkill glitched every once in a while and you couldn't finish the mob off with a melee like you should have been able to.

I'd say that I bought the game and after a few hours and many quests and got to lvl 15, I was slightly disappointed in how many class branches there are later in game like ranger can move on to ranger spy ect ect... there just weren't too many... other than that it is a good game for a break from WoW

is this game solo friendly? Ill probably get this game for sure if I can convince my friends to start playing too and im sure well have a good time. But I dont like the thought of not being able to do anything without a party. This wasnt the case in WoW, but with FFXI for example, I heard you cant even kill a critter without a group, as a manner of speaking.

its very solo friendly actually. You do need gear but skill does factor in. such as holding your weapon still to let it bead, getting the high ground and such. not to mention remembering what gun type is the most effective afgainst a given enemy.

Im looking for something new after playing WoW for 2 years. So im curious about this game. And seeing your review and lestat's im getting pretty curious.

Some questions though, I read that this game is trying to combine shooters and mmorpg's. But I was wondering if this game relies on skill or gear. For instance, will fast reflexes and good aim be any good like it would be in a shooter? Or would you be better of with superior gear and knowledge of the games mechanics like in an rpg?

Just for info, if there's a little red skull over their heads then you can run up to them and melee them (F key) to execute an overkill, giving you double the experience. It also stacks with combat multiplier.

Well thats one of the main reasons i bought it. I hit level 70 with my warlock and realized I needed a major break from WOW. I cant say for sure because i don't know your exact tastes in games but I would say go for it. At the least youll have fun shooting things before you get bored. at the most you'll genuinely enjoy it.
