I met and got to talk to him when he and Slide Guitarist Roy Rogers played an outdoor show at the St Chapelle Winery in Nampa, ID in 2004. He was a soft spoken guy, but ready to give a smile or chat and he signed a CD sleeve I had and then when I asked, he and Roy jammed on some Robert Johnson after their break! Talk about an amazing treat for the ears! I'll never forget it!
I had seen him in mt. vernon, wa in the early 80s. At that time i didnt know who he was. I learned today that he deid last year. I allways remember his name
what a treat! i've always been a fan, but since his trajic passing, i can't seem to get enough of his playing! i have a feeling his legacy will endure, and appreciation for his musicianship will build!
