  • A hypocrite, indeed.

  • Reagen was a wonderful man

  • The French were still scared of kaddaffi commiting terrorist acts in their country

  • We love you & miss you Ronnie....

  • It was the only thing to do to bomb Libya in 1986. It is so sad it took another 25 years to topple Qaddafi, but this is just Europe's fault. Europeans have always had a cowardly attitude toward the Libyan tyrant.

  • God, please bring us another Ronald Reagan!

  • So that's what a leader sounds like. Pretty cool.

  • Fantastic Leader ! Ronald Reagan was the best president in modern times. I have not seen anybody with the ability of such great leadership from any president since 1988.

  • President Reagan, you are truly missed. We so need another leader like you now.

  • Reagan endorsed Ron Paul.

  • I smell history repeating.

  • has anyone noticed that we went over there and bombed them after they killed like only 1 or 2 americans, but now it took near freakin genocide of that country for obama to even address it. Reagan rules, no-bama drools

  • @3dofanatic Agreed, and Hillary Clinton and the U.N better just deal with Gadaffi, and stop whining and moaning about a no fly zone and what not.

  • thats the greatest quote any prez has ever said

  • I was 11 when this happened....Old Ronnie did not take any GUFF from Terrorists. I remember thinking like..."Yeah Libya, take that....Its time for your LINE OF DEATH to go home" Wacky Qaddafi. What a Jack Ass. Our Old Vietnam Era F1-11 Took out Tripoli. I KNOW Regan was not perfect...BUT HE HAD BIG BALLS. Best Quote by ANY PREZ...HANDS DOWN 6:29-6:36 OBAMA wishes he was this tough. Da Gipper. R.I.P. Ronnie, your SWAGGER will be missed

  • @killerontheloose80 but ronald reagan negotiated with terrorists! How can u like him?

  • Amen!

  • "If necessary, we shall do it again." I remember this moment and news of the bombing raid very well. It felt good at the time that we were fighting back against terror, and Reagan is still my favorite Pres. But looking back, I can also see how it may have failed to deter Khadafy in the long run and even contributed to the Pan Am 103 tragedy two years later.

  • I cant believe this. this seem familiar of current events in 2011?

  • NOW THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT! AIR STRIKE TO LIBYA FROM A REAL COMMANDER IN CHIEF!! BIRTH CERTIFICATE AS WELL!

  • Obama should be watching this mans tapes so he can learn how to lead

  • Regan is amazing, he even knows exactly how Libyan people feel toward Qaddafi, I am Libyan and I feel it when he said ( before Qaddafi seized power in 1969 the people of Libya had been friends of the united states, and I am sure that today most Libyans are ashamed and disgusted that this man has made their country a synonym for barbarism, )

  • @lioncub6969 what did Gaddafi did to you guys during the 90s and the 21st century?

  • @Hperman09 Hes breathing, and thats good enough reason for me to take that evil SOB out. I am not an Obama supporter but I give him props for ordering the strikes that helped the Libyan rebels take Libya.

  • @bluedevil0704 I am not an Obama supporter either. But you're right. Someone has to stop this tyrant, and else is gonna do it? Who else has the capability to do it? Answer: No one!

  • @Hperman09 In the 90's, Qaddafi supported Saddam Hussein's invasion of Kuwait, which most of the Arab League opposed, as well as the genocide in Bosnia, despite the fact that Muslims were designated targets by the Serbian government. I'm no way a supporter of the Republican agenda, and there's no doubt that Clinton did a more perfect job crushing Slobodan Milosevic than Reagan ever could for Qaddafi, but the fact is Qaddafi is a brutal barbarian who will do whatever it takes to have his way.

  • Ronnie Raygun don't mess around.

  • My dad was on the carrier that fired the missles....I just was told last weekend. I was only 3 yrs old at the time

  • @MsBeccaLeigh which carrier my father was on the coral sea when we fired on libya

  • what a FN B&*dass he was! he told the TRUTH, an didnt take any bullsh*t from anyone,....we need a leader like that RIGHT NOW!!!! Is it possible to clone him? OMG Reagan was the SH*T!!!!

  • I remember listening to this live here in Melbourne, Australia at the time and being in awe of an American President who had the guts to respond decisively to acts of terrorism. Gaddafi, amazingly, is still "peddling his wares" in Libya and must have more lives than a cat. But his day is almost over. As Ghandi said, "In the end they (dictators) always fall. Think of that. Always".

  • Its a shame the U.S. has once again become passive , because President Obama doesnt want to step on anyones toes.

  • Obama - Listen to 2:59 and 6:30, end of issue and $4+ gas.

  • I wish Obama would take care of the Somalian pirates like Reagan took care of those Libyan terrorists. 86 seems like such a long time ago.

  • Ronald Reagan was a great American leader. Too bad no one has replaced him. Gaddafi would probably go the way of Noriega if the Gipper was still around.

  • My, how times have changed.

Then, Gaddafi counted on Americans to be passive. He counted wrong.

Today...we ARE passive. The Gipper would be spinning in his grave if he saw how incompetent Obama is on HIS Libya situation. *sigh*

  • pres obama bombs today gheddafi, please! great reagan...

  • Great speech.

  • Go get 'em Ronald.

  • I am so sad that as a 20 year old I didn't get to see him in action. But I love him, everything I've read about him, etc. We need him back. I love you President Reagan.

  • God Bless you, Gipper! We need another leader like you today. Rest in Peace, Mr. President.

  • What little we all know.

  • My F-111F's from RAF Lakenheath, UK flew the strike mission that night on mutiple targets in Tripoli. After that, we said that Libya stood for, Lakenheath Is Bombing Your Ass!!!! He was one tough President. Good times!

  • Hi Americans... I'm Libyan and I do like this great gentleman ! Is there anyone like him to come here and catch the world number one terrorist (GADDAFI)??

  • "Tonight...we have."

...and Gadaffi crawled into a hole after this, and cried like a baby.

  • google search gulen charter schools....where did we go wrong? why and what is happening?

  • Obama just let Iran start enriching uranium. No way Ronald Reagan allows a terrorist nation to do so. He evan persuaded Israel to not attack the site. Next he'll go on TV and beg for them not to built a nuclear bomb. We need a real leader in the White House, just like Reagan was. before this country goes to crap...

  • The greatest president in United States history!!!

  • Obama could not shine this guys shoes.

  • Unfortunately that buffoon Gaddafi is still in power.

  • CAN YOU SAY L-E-A-D-E-R !!!

Obama would be apologizing, begging, and looking for ways to use it to for more political gain.

  • I miss you Mr. President.

  • Obama don't have the testicular fortitude to say something like this. He would want to talk to them about it and beg that they don't do it again. God Bless you Mr Regan!!! We need someone like you!!!!

  • This is what being a true Commander In Cheif is all about. What has happened to this kind of leadership?

  • GOD BLESS YOU MISTER PRESIDENT

  • Can you image if Reagan was president today? I can't imagine the Iraq war would still be going on. Reagan was a very decisive leader.

  • Hang in there the leader is coming. Or I should the King.

  • Why can't today's leaders be more honest and direct like Reagan?

  • Sure wish we had leaders like this again. Reagan your leadership is missed and so are you.

  • @fredricks74

    My thoughts exactly...

  • we need a real leader again. Not a

  • Thanks for the political history lesson of Iran! I knew the supreme leader's ultimate role and logic dictates Ahmadinejad could not say anything without the blessing of said supreme leader. Nothing new in what you said here. BTW in order to "wipe their regime from the pages of history" one would have to eliminate the Israeli State "off the map". And casualty number games? Obviously you support the Supreme Leader of Iran&President Ahmadinejad comments and oppression of the citizenry of Iran.

  • I care very much what happens to Israel because there are a lot of good people there. Unfortunately the truth is not being told and that is all i'm simply pointing out. I think it's very important when someone says one thing but it is reported as something else, that needs to be corrected regardless if it can mean the same in the end. You are mistaken if you think that means i support Iran. The Israeli government is simply jumping the gun on Iran and the truth needs to be told.

  • You obviously believe the government/corporately controlled media. If you knew any thing about the supreme leader of Iran, The Ayatollah, you'd know he doesn't have the same mindset as Ahmadinejad because first he rejects Iran having nuclear weapons. In 2003 he reached out to the Bush admin. through the Swiss embassy about Iran making good relations with the United States, AND, starting a peace process between Iran and, Get this, Israel! Sorry you don't want the truth.

  • Obviously you have a problem with the truth. Peace process...humm. And I assume you have inside information in Tehran and are somehow related to someone in the government of Iran? Like I said before Ahmadinejad could NOT do anything the supreme leader did not condone. I am sure the leaders of Iran want a meaningful peace with Israel! Just like someone who doesn't have the "facts" straight you resort to comments like these. Fact is the Iranian govt has no use for the USA or Israel. Period.

  • Substitute "Libya" with "Iran". When you do that keep in mind we know that Iran has supplied terrorist with weapons, threatened and has continued to threaten Israel, made a visit to Venezuela and more. What do we want to do with Iran...humm talk? I think we have lost something from those days...and now we have a "Nobel Peace Prize" winner in the White House who somehow thinks mankind is going to forget how to make the A Bomb. Unrea! Iranian people are not the problem as was not the Libyans.

  • Well said...I couldn't agree more

  • We need a STRONG GOD DAMN PRESIDENT! In America again!

  • Thanks for posting. Please clean up the audio on these videos.

  • I really miss this guy. A real leader.

  • Hi I'M AN ORIGINAL LIBYAN , AMAZIGH LIBYAN , NOT AN ARAB . AND I WOULD LIKE TO SAY : MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON YOU, RONNIE, AND MAY GOD HAVE DISCONTENT ON GADDAFI....

    FUCK GADDAFI AND TERRORISTS

    GOD BLESS USA.

  • hello friend -

if you would like to learn more about gaddafi's terrorist evil, please read "Analysis: The links between Libya and the IRA" by the Independent

the Semtex explosives gaddafi gave to the IRA were used in a 1990 terrorist attack in which they tried to murder Lady Thatcher - who worked with the United States to defeat the godless soviets and liberate kuwait from saddam

may God grant freedom to the Great people of Libya and may he bless you for your love

    respect from USA

  • Dear Ronnie,

We need you now! Please come back and fix all American's problems. Only you can do it.

    We miss you.

  • First off, you didn't read my post well; I said Reagan didn't AUTHORIZE the weapons, not that he didn't know. Secondly, a Dutchman named Van Anraat --not Reagan-- was convicted of selling mustard gas to Iraq in the 1980s, so don't tell me no other country got involved or supplied Iraq with WMDs. Also, spare me your psychic insight as to who's being dishonest with oneself when I'm actually providing the hard, cold facts, not the one-sided spin I'm getting from you.

  • Reagan didn't authorize it? When documents are destroyed ahead of an investigation, that doesn't mean the man is innocent - there's no evidence that supports his innocense. Mush like the Bush administration has destroyed emails etc...absence of proof does not exhonerate anyone.

1982 Regan removes Iraq from the terrorist nation list - congress believes Regan lost his friggin' mind (which I agree with).

Every war the Rumsfeld fought during the last admin was a fight against his own...

  • With everyone the president works with, I think at least one would have spilled the beans if he'd authorized the weapons--they always do for that book deal. Reagan certainly made his share of bozo decisions--the Amnesty Bill of '86 & the Lebanon incident of '82, but SOMEtimes you have to create policies you will fight down the road--afterall, I'd hate to think what another four years of Iran-empowering Carter would have looked like. Soldiers, btw, are too tiny a part of the electorate.

  • Actually, it was regulation that got us into the mess. The government was running Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae and wanted more risky loans made during the housing boom. The Community Reinvestment Act pressured banks to make loans in poor neighborhoods. Banks figured that making some bad loans was just a cost of doing business. In 1995, Clinton revised the CRA to increase pressure on banks to make more loans to risky borrowers. When the housing market went flat, so did a chunk of the economy.

  • Greatest President since Lincoln!

  • Before you call anyone an idiot, do your research. Not one shred of evidence that Reagan authorized any weapons to Iran has ever been found. On top of that, the arms were in exchange for US hostages. Also, Reagan had the moral courage to stand up to the evil USSR, when sissy Democrats were complaining that he was being too mean. Also, the US befriended Iraq because Iraq was fighting Iran, who was holding US hostages, duh! Ignoring context as you have is not only foolish, it's dishonest.

  • We are also allies with Germany and Japan and we once were with the Soviet Union. Friends change governments and become enemies and vice versa. The alternative is isolationism which hasn't worked very well. Jack Kennedy once said we will support any friend and oppose any enemy. Who knows, we may be allies with China again one day and at war with Austrailia, but we will NOT give missle technology to China now. Oh, wait. Clinton did that.

  • This was a truely great and principled man. I wish we had someone like that in the whitehouse today.

Instead we have an individual that provides bailouts for buying too much house, is trying to destroy our healthcare system by spreading mediocrity and penalizes success thru increased taxation.

  • A great man.

  • You're another idiot. He supported Iraq & Iran - go read my earlier post to appreciate how stupid you are. You should cancel your subscription here because you're brain illness is contagious with the other dummies on here.
