yes, its actually really good def like 3 under rune kite, and only -2 range bonus, rune zerker would be better, but it degrades, granite shield takes off too much range bonus in my opinion

excalibur is a good special attack weapon to use to boost your defence so you won't get hit as much if you're a barrows pure like me

you also don't need climbing boots if you have tele, dragon boots will do just fine

ring of wealth reduces the amount of common drops suck as addy bars, so no, it's not as good.

Ring of wealth increases the drop of the highest alchemy value of items, so the items that alchemy for the most get dropped more often such as runeite limbs and rune dagger (p).

i know, but the main amount of cash you gain from avansies are the Addy bars, these reduce in amount if you wear a ring of wealth

Like I said, ring of wealth is used to increase the amount of alchables which for example, a runeite limb, will alch for around 10,200gp profit while each adamant bar drop only accounts for about 8,600gp profit.
