whenever i'm feeling down or unsure about my faith i love looking at the top comments on these youtube videos. They are always about people love of Christ and encouraging people to live in harmony and to remember the thing that's the most important; our wonderful God!
So if there's anyone that's feeling down just remember our Lord that we can share! (and message me, i'd be happy to put you on my prayer list :) )
This is a Christian song. As in, it's for Christians. Stop looking for trouble, there are other sites or videos which centre on debates. This is NOT one of them.

Our God is So GREAT!!! He LOVES us very much, we can't understand His love. If you don't know Jesus, the CREATOR, then you have to repent from your sins. HE LOVES you VERY much even if you don't feel this. He DIED for you, He wants to GIVE you eternal life. Heaven EXISTS, and that is your HOME!! In Heaven you will be NO sick, there will be NO sadness, NO problems!!! Choose the LIFE, choose Jesus Christ, and you will be the MOST happiest man in the world! If you want to repent, please reply me!!
Yes, Lord, I surrender my life to you. The only thing I have to give besides my life is my praise and thanksgiving to my Savior. He gave it all and offered up His life as a sacrifice, He took a brutal beating and died on a cruel cross to pay the debt I owed. Then when He rose again, He showed me what it is like to be reconciled with the Father. He is the Bridge, the Door, the Way, the Life. Thank you, Jesus. This song is one of my favorites of Matt Redman's and thank you for posting it.
when did this turn into a debate centre to debate the way the bible is supposed to be read? read it so it makes you happy, inspires you, and compels you to spread the love of christ. and dont let anyone tell you how to read it.
I understand what you are trying to say but reading the Bible to "where it makes you happy" isn't a good way to read it.
The Bible is suppose to convict you and challenge you and make you uncomfortable sometimes. Let instead read it with an open heart and mind and let the Holy Spirit guide you and reveal new and precious things to you. :)
@CSwizzyEnt Just read the Bible just like it says.....don't add to it don't take away from it.....dont compromise on it to fit what YOU wan't or to make You happy....thats the problem now a days we have too many people compromising on the word of God....the infallible word of God...don't change what the Bible says it means what it says...that's all there is to it...
Good point dude, but what -username77...9- states is also true. We desire more than just a basic knowledge,; a basic truth of Christ. But we desire an intimate connection with Him. All of those Theological positions he's stating is supporting that, I mean if you really wanted to know what he was talking about, I'm sure he'll discuss it with you, we're all brothers and sisters of Christ. Meant to help each others faith grow and expand closer to the Lord. Peace&Prayer my friends!
pls dont compound this person's opinion of us with this tripe!! it is just thrown about without accountability, very well to type some stuff in a comment box, this person does not need to be belittled by 'Christian' moral high ground.
second to this, what makes you think that Christ needs to be defended? That's just saying that His death on the cross isnt substantial enough! And you need to come to His defence?
Next time embrace the challenge of the non-believer! Surely their perspective is of great benefit to your walk as a Christian and your action whether reflecting that.
We do read what they say, but Jesus does need defence. That is part of the job of Christians. As his followers we need to shine his light on the world and defend his name. Mainly we need to do it by acting as he would want us to - yes we do do it wrong a lot, but we're not perfect - but we also can defend him from other people. This is a mixture of witnessing and living for Jesus.
JackEllisBoi isn't right but he was just stating his opinion. He wasn't ranting or angrily spouting swear words or the like. We should be able to return the favour.
I feel that God is going to put his wrath on America soon, and in part already has. I feel that God' Holy Spirit is saying that are part is to NOW start witnessing to people even in mass multitudes now like whats talked about in the book of Revelation. Jesus is coming soon!
Maybe cause they don't know about anywhere else cause they don't live there. So, therefore, they won't have the experience in other countries to tell whether there is change happening there.
one thing i must say is that all over the world Christians are advised not to take Revelation as all literal, and that it may not happen in exactly those ways, but I do agree that there's a chance the world is being judged right now. For those of you non-believers who read this, allow me to direct you to the end of Revelation, read the last few chapters, the description of Heaven, and tell yourself that Christians aren't going somewhere amazing when the Lord reclaims them.
Revelation should be taken literally for the book of Revelation was what John saw and was told to write down. He was also told what the things that he saw meant/resembled. So we must take this literally for this came from God, as what would take place before Jesus comes back, and when he comes back.
Revelation is not meant to be literal in the sense you are saying...It is Apocrypha literature which uses metaphors to make a point. It is a warning, Be Aware...NOONE knows when or how that Awesome day is to come, Jesus said not Him or even the Sun knows, only God the Father. Could it happen this way? Yes, God can do anything, but to say that is exactly how its going to be is absurd, because you just don't know. One thing is for certain Jesus IS coming back and we Christians need to be ready!!!!
it is not Apocrypha literature, the Apocrypha are the books of the Bible (Baruch, Sirach, Maccabees etc.) that are considered non-cannon, none of these books are found in Protestant Bibles while a few are contained in the Catholic Bible, (they were deemed non-canon because Jerome did not include them in his translation of the Bible). I believe that unless the Bible says here is a parable or here is a metaphor, it is literal. The Bible is very specific on what is historical and what isn't.
It is desperate when people like yourself cannot tell the difference between literal and theological truth. the difference between story and first hand experience. This inability leads to dogmatic unsustainable theological positions that are easily tron apart under scrutiny. Open your mind, do not be afraid of hermeneutical advances.
ok first off, to just blither on about nothing does none of us any favours, for instance instead of generally saying "dogmatic unsustainable theological positions that are easily torn apart under scrutiny." I dare you to tear my faith apart, just because I believe God can do what He says, that does not make me a fool. God wrote His Word for all to understand, I believe in the simplicity of Christ, a genius is not needed to interpret, just a faithful heart, for who are you to say what is right?
All Jesus' parables are not said to be parables...the Bible, in its entirety, is HISTORICAL, however, it is not all literal, there are metaphors, parables, examples meant to lead the Christian life in guidance, warning and comfort. It is God's word, therefore infalliable, that being said men ARE falliable, what you, I or any other Christian says could be wrong. I never said that Revelation couldnt happen that way, just last it is highly unlikely. Jesus said that NOONE knows when or how that
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
In the introduction to the book of Revelation it specifically states (in a NIV Protestant Bible) that "it is a distinct kind of literature...Revelation is apocolyptic literature, a kind of writing that is highly symbolic" And what is only some parts of the Bible historic and others not?...Im sorry but I believe that the whole Bible is historical in its entirety.
Actually what John saw was many things, like for example, the fall of the Roman Empire...and such. It is a message for all to take seriously, however it is still not LITERAL in the sense some here are trying to convey.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
actually that view depends on whether you are a preterist or a futurist...for instance I believe that revelation is all about end time prophecy, because Daniel got the dibs on the rise and fall of empires. And that is what I was saying, in Genesis 1 is written as a historical account and thus is to be take literally, however when Jesus tells a parable the Bible tells you that this is a story. And Jesus said: "The day and hour is unknown." He never said the method was...read your Bible then talk
Ok...so the "great prostitute" 17:1, is literal?...Is this going to be a huge Prostitute...or is it in fact, Babylon (Rome)?? What are the lampstands in 1:20? Literal lampstands?...Or are they, in fact, symbols for the Church?
it depends what the context, the prostitute is given a name Babylon, I interpret this into believing that the City of Babylon shall be rebuilt, and it shall become a harlot to the world, one that will lead others astray just as in Proverbs (interpret the Bible with the rest of it in mind) and Revelations does say these are the Spirits of the seven churches, but hey there might be a lamp stand in heaven representing us. Symbols are literally what John saw, he saw a harlot, that is all im saying.
You had mentioned prostitution as though it's a historical thing or a future thing but it's going on now and in the church. We just haven't been told the difference between professional intimacy and a true relationship with Jesus Christ. To seek God just for something rather than His love or Him is "professional intimacy" and it's not truly knowing Him but petitioning Him for things in His word. But when we get a hold of His love,...His love redeems the prostitute to be a bride.
sorry, i have to comment. yes, Daniel, specifically Nebuchadnezzar, got the "dibs" on the "end time prophecy" which was. "you're the head of gold" after you will be silver (Media/Persia) then the bronze, (Greece) and then Iron (Rome) and the feet of Iron (rome) and clay (israel) which is why Christ was born into a divided empire. Christ is the rock born "without hands" who established His empire (the kingdom) which will smash all the kingdoms of the earth. the "end times" was the end of the old

ain't that the truth.. we aren't worthy. Matt's life's lessons, at least some, when made public... certainly expose that very essence of each of our walks... that very "weak" nature one owns... praise Jesus... that's all i can say...
Guys I can't stop loving this song.I wish I could offer my life to Him as much as I can porouring up my heart as a worship to Him.Jesus is so loving that I don't know what to give Him...I just can't explain with these incomplete words

ain't that the truth.. we aren't worthy. Matt's life's lessons, at least some, when made public... certainly expose that very essence of each of our walks... that very "weak" nature one owns... praise Jesus... that's all i can say...
