Dabrye along with J.Dilla, Gold Panda, Flying Lotus, Curren$y and a few others have started creating the soundtrack to my life in the last few years...whoever said music is dead deserves to be dead themselves for not wanting to search enough...a musical revolution is on the rise.
@poodabee ur so stupid. 29,000 people appreciate this song...lets say this guy put out a new song with 1000000 veiws you would be like. i cant beilve this guy went pop
@joeynipote What are you talking about?? I said he is UNDER appreciated. Compared to the bullshit so called "music" that's plastered on the radio, tv & internet. You're the stupid one for completely misinterpreting what i said. Dabrye is a genius in his own right and deserves more recognition and air play. This what people should be hearing.
with the homies rappin along, to a good song, while hitten up the bong, other niggas finna get drunk, we do that too, but we don't swallow the junk, we juss chill, listen to somethin real, shit but i havn't seen em for a long long time, people change like the style of my rhymes, like the hand on the clock of time, but thats another subject, im out ima eject, to my inner world, real guarded like pearls, but never spoiled like girls, this is my parrallel universe.
i wish i never ever had, to remain like this, but i can say shit, my minds not whole, when im with you, i need a professional, when im with you i said i can't speak minds real weak stresses too much on what to say next how the night ends i can't even guess leaving is what i do best but babe i really got to get something off of my chest and i need to rest on yours don't get it twisted your not a chore your a hobbie the streets is lately where ill be
Not every track has to go some place and do something, some people like apathy too. I think TM "noodling" around on the sampler gives the listener a more in tune and nearby listen as opposed to distant viewpoint.
how does one noodle on a sampler? I thought "noodling" was when one tweaks synthesizers, coining the term from when mod/semi-modulars used cables to path and it looked like a bunch of noodles.
The term noodling has been around way before synths. I heard jazz guitarists use that term years ago, but that's a pretty interesting take on the origin. Wonder where it came from.
I'm a big fan of Dabrye from my days in Ann Arbor - check out his albums "one/three" and "two/three". I'd bet you'd like some Eliot Lipp & Flying Lotus too if you like this track. Their stuff is less glitchy, but some of it is kinda down tempo.

I like downtempo Electronic music with a lot of layers that all work together like the Orb or Plastikman. If something is going to be simple make if funky, like Josh Wink's stuff. Portishead is dark and moody but with a purpose. This song sounds like he is noodling around on a sampler instead of experimenting with it. I want my music to touch me and this song did nothing. How could it change your life? It goes no where and says nothing.
@clocktime00, what are you talking about? the music has a purpose, to be relaxing, to be calm, not to be everywhere at once. you can concentrate on just a select few sounds and stay there. it changes your life by making you look at these constant yet ever-changing things.
But nobody asides us truly enlightened people listens to this.
This is what the few people at night coming from a party or late night shifts listen to from my car and smile while entering a deep state of emotional uplift and don't think about anything bad, just pure unconditional love of living life as it is.

You can write movies to this track, the title itself sounds as if its from a movie. Good music never sounds old.

@clocktime00 some people just have an imagination:\
I like this song, and it reminds me of Earthbound. It's soothing without being repetitive.
