@classicalgal14 This is a theremin! If you check out my channel page you will find more information about this instrument. Apologies for the late reply; I have been offline for a while.
Thank you! Yes, it is a little on the fast side; I often find that piano-backing tracks I get tend to be faster than I would prefer, & it's usually much easier to play slower melodies on the theremin! There is an audio-editing program I can use to slow tracks down a little. I've been thinking about doing a much slower one-verse version of this piece using my other theremin.
Presently, I'm working on a theremin version of Elgar's Salut d'Amour, and even slowed down it still seems at a gallop!
Thank you ... I'm glad you like it. It's such a pretty piece and has quite nicely spaced notes for playing (no difficult big jumps!) You should try it!!!
Thank you for the kind words ... and thanks again for your YT video of this piece; listening to it over and over was a huge help in getting this tune fixed in my head. It's a song I wasn't too familiar with before ... but it's now a real favourite!
what is that thing your playing?

Very nicely played, though I find the tempo a little fast.

Very nicely done. I like the higher octave on the second verse. Thanks, and keep at it!. :)

I originally uploaded this video yesterday, but got emails from a few people saying it wouldn't play ... so I've re-uploaded it.
I hope it's working OK for everyone now. My apologies to those who rated / commented previously.
