Okay, I am going to respond without flaming. I understand encouraging women to love their bodies, but if you look back at some of Tyra's other videos, she basically says that women of all sizes are beautiful, even those who cant find their vagina and can barely walk. She says that it is okay to be so fat that you may die from your fat crushing your lungs.

ps. I know it's not so common, but there r women born with weight problems, where they gain weight incredibly fast n have a hard time loosing it without a docters help. Those women shouldn't b made 2 hate their bds, simply cause they're overweight.

No one has a problem with you voicing your opinion because that is all the we have (our opinions). Someone reading your message would probably have a problem with the way that you voiced your opinion. Your message comes across as an insult towards alot of people and if you are going to insult people, then you may want to use correct spelling.

First, being a student of other languages myself, I know it is tough to master the details of other languages. Second, I actually spell better in German than in English. (German has definitely spelling rules; English is a mish-mash of other languages and has more exceptions than rules. My English spelling sucks! And I'm a native speaker.) Also, there is a difference between really, unhealthily obese and being merely of normal weight. Unfortunately in OUR society, normal is considered fat.

I tried to avoid directly commenting on the size of these two particular women! I think we have to walk a fine line between encouraging people to attain healthier weights (that goes for people who are too heavy AND too thin) and being discriminatory. Insulting people (and I'm not speaking of you here, just in general) because they are too heavy or too thin is not the most productive way to encourage them to be healthier. If our survival still depended on our speed, we would be healthier!

No, I agree with you. I was just trying to be polite. And, yes, I should have specified that I meant if our survival depended on our being fit enough to outrun a lion or other preditor. In the US, the overreliance on vehicles even to go two or three blocks IS a major reason for obesity. I live in NYC and don't have a car, so I take public transit, but even then you have to do a LOT of walking. When relatives come visit me, they find the amount of walking I do on a daily basis very strenuous.
