this band is the modern day slayer...simply put. Pure combo of speed and thrash with shouting vocals and wild guitar solos that blow ur brains out pretty much. Also, unfortunately, it's the modern-day slayer in terms of it's satanic and/or anti-christian messages. Musically though, this band is awesome.

I always laugh at the metal idiots that don't consider another genre because it isn't good enough for them. Avenged Sevenfold were metal on their first two albums, their newer ones are debatable, I suppose. And I heard with their next one they're going for an even more rock oriented sound. If they enjoy that sound better (I personally do) then good for them.

I`ve always had a dream to take the best from Testament - The Legacy, Slayer - Reighn in Blood/Hell Awaits and Metallica - Master of Puppets and make new songs/album. This is close though!! I felt those band "died" when they slowed drums to half beat on the verses. Like ..and justice for all, South of Heaven and Practice what you preatch. If it wasn`t for the half tempo on the verses, Evile would be one of my favourite bands EVER !

Actually, Metallica are one the biggest influences on thrash metal. Not just Metallica, but the big 1981 bands too. Kreator was heavily influenced by Metallica and Slayer, and the other two weren't formed until a few years later.
