  • this guy looks more interesting than he is!

  • @boliussa He is very interesting and will soon be premiering his new film about the Israel Palestine conflict.

  • Cultures that MUTILATE their males infant penises are the MOST violent ones in the World. More people are killed, abused, depressed in nations where infant genital mutilation are considered the norm. Sick sick shit, which must be abolished across the whole World. Leave infants genitals alone you sick fucks!!!

  • "He had never thought of it from the baby's perspective."

    What...the...fjuck?...

  • @loqiloqi It is part of the Jewish mental and cultural perspective that babies are property, 'owned' by the parents. This in fact part of many people's mental and cultural perspective. It's a basic lack of empathy and ability to emotionally connect with others, and many of us experience this to differing degrees in various ways. Few of us ever truly contemplate the effect that our words and actions have had on others. It is part of the inherent narcissism of the ego.

  • Eliyah was a great interview subject. I admire his keen intellect and sensitive perception. Thanks for the comments, and thanks Bonobo3D for another invaluable contribution!

p.s. I think Eli's approach to "truth in beauty first" will ironically be far more persuasive than someone who sets out to just convince someone, without knowing about the artistic angle.

  • On doctors refusing to hear new information re: circumcision:

"It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends upon his not understanding it."

    ~Upton Sinclair

Without any medical or clinical indication whatsoever, can a doctor even be performing surgery on a healthy, non-consenting individual, let alone elicit any kind of "decision" from parents?

How audacious that doctors have the nerve to stoke a parent's sense of entitlement!

  • A most wonderful interview! Thank you, Eli, thank you for making this world a kinder, gentler, more respectful place.

  • This is an fantastic interview. Eliyahu is a great man, and I always enjoy hearing him speak. He has a way of putting things that just rings so TRUE with my own understanding of the world.

He has a commitment to truth, and it is a commitment that shows. I'm so glad he has chosen to make this film and to take it around North America showing it. It truly is a film that will change you - yet never bashes you over the head with an agenda. The subject material does that for him.

    Thanks for sharing!

  • "Is there any other point to which you would wish to draw my attention?"

"The curious incident of the dog in the nighttime."

"The dog did nothing in the nighttime."

"That was the curious incident," remarked Sherlock Holmes.

    - Sir A. Conan Doyle, 1894

One way circumcision is perpetuated is by ignoring its existence. This is especially so in the sexual field, where to mention it would inevitably bring its disadvantages to light.

  • @deadhardy Why don't you find a train to stand in front of? Infant mutilators must be wiped off the face of the Earth!!!

  • Great interview. Eli is a great spokesperson. Should Judaism be run by the fundamentalists, the Orthodox, or will it join the modern world in recognizing that even little boys have rights and are not the property of their parents or their community.

Circumcision has a number of dubious claims to it that appear to be magical thinking.

What is clear is that it is a sexual assault and theft, that damages sexual function and pleasure.

  • Thank you for making "Cut", Eli. You will change America, the only Western nation that still considers infant boys to be so dirty that their genitals are cut within a few days of birth.

  • 17:13 "He had never thought about it from the baby's perspective." I think this is very widely true. The topic is very commonly presented as if - "it's a decision for parents" - the baby doesn't have a perspective. Of course as a baby, his only perspective is excruciating pain, but he grows up to be a man whose perspective involves losses, harms and rights breached.

  • Really cool interview! Thank you so much for sharing!!!

  • Brave guy. Any other orthodox Jews out there who reject this barbarous anachronism?

  • Brave and Courageous man, like my ex-wife and Jewish who refused to circumcised her 3 sons!!

  • Fantastic interview!

  • 15:50 "I have a deep respect and appreciation for the contribution to human experience of the nervous system." Me too. Permanent, irreversible, willful damage of another human being's body without medical necessity is horrible. The film's effect on his father-- poignant.

  • Excellent! Over the past 6 years that I have know Eliyahu he has expanded his knowledge extensively on this issue so that he can not be ignored and his film cannot be dismissed. The world will have to deal with the issues he has so eloquently raised. And, as always, Bonobo3D has brought out the best in his interview subjects.
