  • I'm actually doing this mod to my 86 as well and already have all the parts needed except for one.

Can you give me a link to where I can get the Techno Toy Tuning adapter bushing?

It's the only item I need so I can finish up my conversion.

    I'd really appreciate it.

  • love your vids, i'm getting ready to do this to my sr5. I wasn't going to until I watched this vid. Keep it up sir!

  • Hey bro enjoy your informative videos. Can you explain to me how to center the rack?

  • @XBrs2

The the easiest way to do it is off the car. Measure the amount that sticks out ether side. Get it equal amount protruding on either side.

Once in the car. To check, turn the wheel all the way to the left then turn to the right counting the full turns of the wheel. Divide by 2 and then center and check each left and right.

  • couple of questions 1) what years did the MR2 have that manual steering rack? 2) what other racks will fit in the same way that i will only need the bushing adapter and the intermediate shaft? thanks, your videos have been really helpful on my project :D

  • @gilpna50

    MKI MR2's only 1985-1989

    MR2/AE86 Racks only.

  • Informative as always, wish I had my hachi still :(.

  • I know I'm probably getting ahead of you but are you planning on doing any more suspension videos?

  • @Newman12341

Yes. But, it wont be til next year.

  • 06:20 That explains why your steering felt kinda sloppy.
