I have the actual import copy, it's an excellent rail shooter. Yes, at first it seems a little odd to be the plane. But having Gamera's fireballs for lock on is still sweet and you get to see him fight below/ahead of you which rounds out the game's nice presentation. Also, the game's music is by Zuntata who also did Raystorm's soundtrack.

At the same time though, due to the combination of it being radioactive and heat based, Gojira's atomic breath would at the very least do nothing to Gamera, and at most would actually fuel him. In both the Showa and Heisei versions of Gamera, he had a strong affinity towards heat, and in the Showa era, he was totally unaffected by the radiation of the atomic bomb that accidently woke him up.
It's an ooooooooold PSX game. Perhaps you could still find it on second hand stores and such. As the title says, it's called "Gamera 2000". I can't really recall is this came out to support a japanese movie or something as, sadly, I'm no real expert in that field. As a shooter on-rails is really really good.
