  • @estala ur a fucking dumn as!!! First of all that water its not from sewage water. It was from the colorado river that flood a town and second ocotillo wells is at salton city. I should know I live 1 mile ocotillo wells.

  • @nimbusEF,AND the fish are safe to eat as long as they are put on ice as soon as they are caught and are cooked promptly above 165 degrees to kill all bacteria....IF YOU GET SICK FROM THE FISH...THEN YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG.

I live there too and the tilapia are GREAT,and the STRIPED BASS.

ANYWAY isnt life OFF THE GRID AWESOME?

  • this video is old the Salton sea is polluted the new river from Mexico flows up stream into the Salton sea carrying sewage from Mexico no swims in that shit!! it smells 2 like rotten eggs n this ohv park isnt the salton sea its either superstion or Octillo i thinks near the salton sea

  • I live like seven milles away from the salton sea and from what i've seen more than ten years befor..and now....i know for a fact that there's something very wrong going on with the salton sea. I still remember when my dad used to take me fishing on most weekeends...now we can't eaven swim in it...what happened?

  • @kathytheskypirate ? the salton sea was man made. it eventually became too salty for almost all fish to live in. but that was in the 60's. type in on the search bar "The Accidental Sea"

  • Great video, but regarding the Salton Sea, the man at 5:24 says that all of the rumors about the sea being polluted are false. ALL of them? His statement is misleading. It is polluted and is not technically a sea, nor is it natural. It is man-made.

Maybe this video is intended to promote tourism, but they should tell both sides of the Salton story. We prefer Slab City & Salvation Mountain.

  • @HunterMann,hi,just wanted to say that the Salton sea is not man made.

Yeah,it was from the hurricanes and the Colorado river flood.

Too bad the government does nothing to bring it back.

I love it and i do swim there when i can.

And fish there, and eat the fish.

Kinda like people saying you cant eat saltwater catfish??WHY NOT?

  • @eddiemcintire yes the salton sea IS manmade, they diverted the Colorado river to places (including the Salton Basin) what do you mean"bring it back"

  • @strangelylucky read this ... saltonsea(.)ca(.)gov/faqs.html ...remove parenthesis then do some research and then get back at me and we will talk more

  • @strangelylucky so anyway, i hope you read these and thank,,,,i'm trying to raise awareness ...i live there

  • @eddiemcintire ok, thanks

  • @eddiemcintire i should have said the modern day salton sea 1976: Tropical storm Kathleen sweeps through Imperial Valley, flooding farmland and increasing level of Salton Sea. Above average rainfall for the next seven years, along with increased agricultural runoff and increased flows from Mexico, cause flooding of shoreline resorts.

1977: Tropical storm Doreen sweeps through Imperial Valley, the second “100 year storm” in two years.

  • dude, these are hilarious!! saw this in webmovietube
