Maybe im just running on my own common sense, but from what ive played firewall is more efficient when you run through it parallel, rather than perpendicular.
@Mavisbeecon - Hrm - Could be... I haven't played the wizard in a bit, and rarely firewall now, it's inefficient... but what i was told was they can't take the damage till they get through the line and out the other side, so perpendicular was the way to go... course, that could be wrong, that could be changed by now with the all the updates too... I'll have to give it a shot next time I'm on that and see...
@mazi957 - a crazy newbie one :) A few fire spells, a few instant kill spells, a lot of utility spells... I mostly solo, and it seems to be working to level 19
@mazi957 - OH! i see what you're saying.... I'm a pure wizard, not a sorceror... Yeah, I get more spells per level, but less spell points... i carry a paralyzation bow when I run out of mana, it's GREAT fun! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE THE BOW!
@mazi957 This is a customized build (with 2 levels of rogue for evasion) - lets me bounce around, not get hit by spells too much... I also fit in two bow feats for increased bow speeds.... sometimes i like to lay down a wall of fire, then lay down a rain of arrows to paralyze a group of monsters in it... it's awesome!
@mazi957 take rogue first level then, you'll get more skill points to work with... then go to level 7 as a wizard (to get firewall) then take another rogue level (if you want) to get evasion... getting a rogue level lets you use short bows for free, too... which is great, safer to stand behind people shooting the bow when grouping :)
@Pawc4 gee, i'm so sorry my fun character isn't up to your standards, perhaps you could post suggestions to improve it? normally i don't even use damage spells, instant kill spells are way more efficient...
Superior potency already active, maxxed out fire/cold enhancements... only thing i can think of is the crits enhancements, which are coming slowly but surely
@pedromaduro - Erm yeah... this was just the first time I turned on xfire, and I wanted to show it to someone... notice how the creature almost kills me? That like, NEVER happens :) I don't need to usually bother using Enervate though, just the fod...

Although my main is a lvl 17 cleric.... I love wizards!!!! I only have a lvl 4 WF wiz ATM but he is SOOOO fun!
