Maestro, wow! Listened to this 3 times in a row, still fascinated. Voicing of the theme very beautiful, spacial, logical. Then two chorusses with similar elegance, some far out notes added in the second one, but without ever loosing the connection to the melody and the spirit of the song... you make me smile with my heart...

@Jazzguts yes i was scatting , but not the melody . i was scatting other variations jazzing around the melody just like you with chet. thats how i improvise. just scatting jazz along with,say a singer singing the straight melody .

And then the Bluesy felt and played passages....yes, great. Some guys here play Jazz with to much brain and theory, some play just Blues but they call it Jazz,lol, but you have the right deal, as it should be: with perfect theoretical background AND the feel of a Bluesman! And now for a completely off-the-wall comment: Besides the fact that you're playing this song with an incredible of amount of skill, soul and finesse, it's your pinky that for some odd reason intrigues me from the video... Okay, I know that I'm an eccentric dork that notices things that others don't but seriously at :42 :57, and later on at 5:30 you've got some sort of "Elvis" thing going on (similar to his legs) with your pinky.
