@MrFluffyTortoise make sure all of the wires at the back are connected into the right slots, hit Tab then make sure it goes from 9+10 to 5! and then choose the sample again. i had this problem as well and once i done this it worked, hope it helps :)

@laltor If you haven't figured it out, reason tries to make sound making as realistic as they can (hence the wires) Its like real sound boards. Say you actually have a physical combinator and compressor in front of you. You also have a bunch of wires. You are simply making the sound go through those wires, to where they are inputed, to go through that mixer, and come back to the master EQ. So Sound goes to combinator -wires- compressor -wires- master. Its like real life sound. Hope this helped!

When you create the rv, shouldn't you connect the wires ?

like,kong output 5-6 -> rv ?

i'm asking this because when i create the rv, the wires are set by default, but i can't get the effects. i can mess around all i want with decay, size, damp, on the rv, but the snare just stays the same.

and i don't know if you want to reverb the kick and the hat too... creating the rv sets the wires to aply the effects to all the kong drum pads...
