Hey man, it's one hell of a cover, but take this little bit of constructive criticism:

- Your guitar strings need either tuning or a change. They sound very loose on the guitar or you're strumming very awkwardly (which doesn't look like the case)

- Slow down a bit, it might help with the emotion that this song brings.

Very good work. I would pick this one out of dozens of cover versions. But - i think there needs to be a bass, or a second guitar - acoustic steel string just doesn't have the sustain to really carry the song, and it's way to much busy work slashing out the chords and trying to

capture emotive singing and held notes at the same - i think so, anyway.

Definitely courageous. Morrissey is hard to cover. You definitely nailed it far better than any other cover of The Smiths. I spent at least six hours watching numerous covers on Youtube. Its not the greatest cover "vocally", but what is a good voice? As long as there's passion, honesty and emotion in the voice in my opinion I think its good (listen to Liam Gallagher for instance). Just the fact you sang in your Yorkshire accent (which has made me confident to sing in my Mancunian accent) and you gave it your all makes it an awesome cover. I just might love the song more than you though... I'm a giant Smiths Fan! :P Good job anyway!

Strangely, when compared with other covers on youtube of this song, your version is completely out of the ordinary. For once someone has sung the song feeling it's true despair and hopelessness, and not attempted to mollycoddle it for stylistic purposes. Really fantastic cover.
