You might find they helped humanity more then once in the past or has been nudging our evolution along thus making us better in the long run. I also want to point out there isnt just 1 kind of aliens. I would bet only a few traveled this far but still, i doubt most of the ones who make it this far have any plans beside exploration.

If ETs have been with us, helping us by not interfering then doesn't it seem a bit odd to you that none of them would let us know until the mid to late part of the 19th century that disease is caused by tiny "bugs" or, as I mentioned more correctly, MICRO ORGANISMS.

@socratic1968 Right but you must give any child a chance to start making decisions and learning things on his own. You cant expect them to give us a vial with ultimate rejuvenation potion. LOL We needed to start studing chemistry so that we can discover on our own. I think they only help with the really big problems. I doubt any recording of it exists. They exist because the universe is too large for just us. I dont think just one race of aliens either. I dont think they will hand over cures.
