I-ROY was and still is top rank. My #1 DJ! He chatted the most intelligent lyrics and some of the dreadest rythms. My most favourite reggae Artist, with rare albums like “Musical Shark Attack”, “Presentin I-ROY”, “The General”, “World on Fire”. Always on that freedom note, a real Afrikan Nationalist. May his music continue to inspire young generations of Afrikans worldwide to understand what their role in the world was and still has to be. Love Uncle I-ROY to the max.

I read I-Roy was homeless when he died a little over a decade ago. Shame, the man had such an enormous impact on Jamaican music and he couldn't afford a roof over his head. What's worse is there were many other too who suffered the same fate.

Very true my brother. DJ Cool Herc brought the sounds of Jamaica to the Bronx, NY back in the late 70's and the rest is history as they say.
