  • all blacks reaction to the 4 man haka "oh shit we do look scary" lol

  • Much respect to the crowd that stayed quite while the All Blacks done the haka. And big ups to the 4 kiwis who done the haka from the other team!!!

  • @MrTighe2009 it was zero of Ireland vs New Zealand. This was a mostly second string munster team as there irish players were on international duty and therfore unable to play there were images of them in the crowd watching!

  • come on ULSTER

  • i love that another team picked up there nuts and actually challenged the haka instead of whinging about it :) good on ya! so much respect.

THIS IS WHAT NZ WANTS TO SEE

  • Someone PLEASE tell me what what going on here - was this Munster Haka planned? I'm confused... but it's brilliant! and what a crowd... and I'm a Tigers supporter So I know a good crowd!

  • @nonrealist Munster only had the 4 kiwis, so i think they probably spoke about it beforehand, but i dont think anyone was sure if they would do it as well as the new nealand team. If you look right at the beginning of the clip you can see the munster kiwis kinda looking at each other and kinda nodding as if to say yeh, lets do it

  • And Ireland beat Australia 15-6 in September 2011. Hell Yeah!!!

  • aaa miedo

  • Thomand Park crowd is the best in the world. Dead silence at kicks for both sides.

  • I love the Haka !

Love the Maori , shame they cop a hard time.

  • mean maori mean......rememba that game watta respectfull crowd

  • i shit myself when i saw that xxxxlol lol hahahaha

  • i got so many shivers down my spine i nearly burst out crying

  • Was at that game it was really a great game ! But since munster and Leinster are doing well ticket prices are after getting so high forcing people out it's not like when I was in France really the best fans arond south of France

  • This is my 1st time seeing this and I though it would have been more suitable for the Munster kiwis to do their Haka last since their the home team.

  • Did anyone else tense up while they were doing that?

  • lol donacha ryan in backround at 1:27

  • have to be honest, and im a bit biased being irish, but too me the munster one looked so intimidating with only 4 or 5 fellas doin the haka in front and the rest like a wall in the back

  • If you Didn't get Goose pimples.

Your most probably a corpse !!

  • Man literally shivers down my spine for that munster haka, emotional to say the least. Bring on WRC 2011!

  • Great Broadcasting from RTE :D Get Ready! Because the men in green are in New Zealand!!!!

  • lovely try

  • Gotta be the best Haka performed. Respect to Munster.

  • Anybody notice the kid banging the advertising hoarding in centre of screen @ 0:53 secs.. looks like he's crying.. I know how you feel young man.. Its pretty inspirational stuff !! I done a John Hayes on it myself THAT DAY in Croker.. and this is a close second best for having my chest burst open with passion and pride !!!

  • Well done to everyone there that night, showing respect to New Zealand's haka.

  • why does it say only try scored against nz during the tour to europe in 08 when the score is already 14 mun 10 nz?

  • @sunnycoast4558 Two penalties and a drop kick. That score was before the (made) try conversion by Warwick.

  • HON the Irish...HON Munster!!!

  • Warwick's drop goal against NZ anyone?

  • Comment removed

  • THIS IS THE BEST HAKA. w w w. youtube. com / watch?v=l5H4CTiepd8

  • WOW, great respect for the Munster crowd... I would be proud to be part of that crowd.

    From South Africa

  • Who is the guy at 0:27 with the 'stache? He looks like a mad maxx villain. So badass.

  • @Dannomack Thats Jeremy Manning. He plays for Newcastle now..

  • 1:27 If looks could kill..

  • Great game...The All Blacks perform the haka against every team they play so why doesn't the New Zealanders representing Munster do the same? Doesn't make sense.

  • Thats what Munster is all about, Respect for the oponents because they know they are in for a battle. Love Munster

  • is that doug howlett at 0:24?

And I have to say, apart from the always expected good quality matches the All-Blacks play, I always enjoy watching the Haka

  • 1 quarter of ireland vs new zealand

  • If you want a dictionary definition of 'defiance', watch this video. A very special irish sporting moment and an occasion that can only be created when the All Blacks come to town. Rugby is the greatest sport on the planet.

  • If that doesn't send shivers down your spine then nothing will..... Excellent

  • Heck I couldn't hear anything. >_<

  • i was at the match it was amazing

  • i was at the match it was amazing

  • @kezlouise I only watched it on tv and i still got shivers... being there must have been fantastic...i watch this video to get myself going....its so respectful and passionate which makes rugby the worlds best sport

  • it would be hilarious if the munster players just started irish dancing behind them :D

  • @Yaddappaddy ha ha ha ha too funny .... just had that image in my head - can you just imagine - all the Munster boys jigging River Dance ..

  • I have so much respect for the Irish (the Munster crowd in particular). The respect that they showed the Kiwis on that day was tremendous!

On behalf of NZ, we love our Irish brothers!

  • @PerfectRoast its so much more enjoyable when its heard as well. if i had a few more pennies id be joinin u kiwis for the RWC, lets hope we see each other in the final!!!

  • 2 people don't understand the Haka...

  • I'm English living and Limerick and I was absolutely gunning for Munster that night. You'd have to be dead not to have some kind of response to those 2 Haka's. Great stuff and by far the best match that NZ had on that Euro Tour

  • spectacular..I was at the match and the whole crowd nearly did the haka with the munster nz's..BIG respect to both sides..best game of rugby I've ever seen..a real mans game..much respect

  • 4:07 you can hear someone shout "shut up" lol

  • how can a town play a country ?

  • @bundgnan munsters not a town

  • @mcandfriends yeah well its not a country either and howcome 4 nez zealnders play for munster and not for their country ? and how come munster can play against nez zealand and against towns i dnt understand

  • @bundgnan cause munster are one of the best club teams in the world....and new zealand only just about beat them here.....and infact munster have beaten them before. so why wouldnt they play them.

  • @bundgnan the new zealnders could not play for there country as if u play in the nothern hemisphere u r banned. The game was an anniversary for the last time munster played new zealand and won the only irish team to do so

  • unbelievable

  • Irish fans are always very respectful, fair play

  • was at the match! during the all blacks haka you could have heard a pin drop! epic!

  • One of the greatest sporting occasions I have ever witnessed. Will remember it forever.

  • WHAT A GAME. This was just one sporting event I'll never forget, great build up to the game, brilliant atmosphere before hand with the haka's and the quality of rugby was outstanding. if only Munster had won.

  • Movember!!!

  • i lovee that the irish are silent for the haka unlike the welsh and english were (i am welsh btw) its an amzing atmosphere, and shows great repect for the kiwis :)

  • The mutual respect between the greatest country ever to pick up the oval ball and one of the proudest club sides ever to play the game is here for all to see. Thomond Park shows this respect to whoever the opposing team may be, but on this day in particular the respect given not just to the All Black team we faced, but to the history of New Zealand Rugby, made me very proud to be a Munster supporter. It was a privilege to watch the All Blacks...and we came very close to beating them !

  • @gmck23sam As a kiwi, it's always an awesome experience to play Ireland as the respect is mutual. I think it comes from the fact that many NZers are actually from Ireland - one rugby family...

  • @gmck23sam Munster is a provincial team, not a club.

  • unbelievable!

  • love the irish crowds silence for the haka. born in ireland. great country and great people

  • So wicked the silence!!!! unreal

  • You never really experience the haka unless you face up to it on the pitch and I've had the honour and priviledge to face the haka and by god does it give you goosebumps and you feel like doing the same to answer the challenge thrown down to you! I wish nearly every team did thier traditional war dance to go up against the haka and to shown that they will not back down like what munster did! Haka best challege to be ever laid down by anyone!

  • Did you hear the crowd that night? Just goes to show you, win or lose, Munster's fans will always be loyal to their team. We are the Red Army. GO ON MUNSTER!!!!!

    >:D

  • The all blacks got straight up dissed.

  • i am a kiwi and i love munster rugby. Kiwis need to learn a lesson from these guys. passion and respect. These supporters were so quiet when goals were getting kicked that you could hear the crickets and the wind.

  • Why did a club team play a National Team?

  • @ripewiththings2say Because Munster tops the best, and provides most of the National team members! SO THERE!!

  • @ripewiththings2say it was a commemoration game. when the all blacks toured Ireland many years ago they famously beat The All Blacks 12-0. History was about to repeat itself but Jo Rokocoko scored for The All Blacks with about 3 minutes to go. Not taking any credit away from Munster & they probably deserved to win but it was one of the most frustrating games to ever watch from a NZ perspective.

  • Just been announced today March 16 that Munster will play Australia in November 2010

  • @markcaver1

And Munster will beat Austrailia 15-6 in November 2010. Get in !!

  • @pckstinger Whoo hoo, just back from the game....15-6 Warwick best Aussie on the field tonight!!!

  • @markcaver1 hahahahahaha

  • @pckstinger lol not likely lol

  • @DeathsAces Actually buddy, that comment was posted about 10 mins after Munster did in fact beat Australia 15-6....

    So, very likely. lol

  • @pckstinger and Ireland did beat Australia 15-6 in the world cup

  • Just for those of you who dont know. It was actually Munster who laid the challenge and the All Blacks replied. Bigs ups to my brother Rua Tipoki!! An occasion that may never happen again!!

  • @nephu2

Rua is so badly missed ... we ALL wish he was still here now playing for us.. one of the best.. he is a great great man, and all Munster fans love him a great deal.

  • Man just to see the thier own brothers come out on them was very applauding and they diserve every moment of it. Makes islanders like my self very proud. I love my rugby nation!!!

  • It was also one of the most passionate games ever in Ireland with NZ only just shading it with 4 minutes left...

    Outstanding!

  • @markcaver1 Completely agree. I've never seen individual members of a team face a full haka like this before. It makes us NZers immensely proud. I applaud the Munster supporters for making this such a memorable game.

  • @markcaver1 one of the best games of rugby i have ever seen and i feel more than lucky to have been there when it was played

  • just realised i know that lad in the Munster hoody at 2:11 haha

  • The silence of the crowd is deafening

  • mutual respect from both giants of rugby

  • i love the little look that rua tipoki and doug howlett exchange right at the start!

  • "BBAAAA"

  • All Blacks sem duvido

    so n é melhor q os

    Titãs Rugby Club de Resende

    xD

  • i love the way the entire stadium stayed so quiet. a testiment to the discipline of the fans.

  • i was there !

  • Rocky Elsom reckoned the best way to face the Haka is to pick out the white guy at the back who doesn't really know the words ("they always try to hide one or two of them at the back") and stare HIM down ;-)

  • @aqua5boy that made me laugh thanks il always look for the white lad at the back now!

  • here is a question...

has their been an irish/ munster rugby match without the chant of 'thr feilds of athenry'?

  • @75fightingmywayback probably not...... do you have a problem with that??

  • @75fightingmywayback - ya loads, Pre '90s. 'Molly Malone' was the Irish song, not sure what the Munster lads sang, 'de Banks' maybe?

  • of course not! i love when the croud sing that!!!

  • I think it's great that Munster replied to the Haka. Every country should have the right to reply. The All Blacks can't through a hissy if a country does, because it is a war dance after all

  • i watched this in the bar in ucc and everyone had a tear in their eye....what a phenomenal moment

  • i thought it was a fantastic match.

    GO ON MUNSTER

  • Thats what i love about the irish crowds, the silence they have for the haka, unlike the welsh and the aussiez.

  • pHaZe017, NZ thinks that the Maori Haka can't be challenged and what you (and most All Black) supporters should understand is that the home country has the right of reply. Just like in 2007 when sooky sooky la la All Bliks refused to do Haka in Cardiff and completed it in dressing rooms because of the emotional unity "Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau" generates....All Blacks crapped themselves

  • @pHaZe017 It's all a matter of "Breeding". Irish crowds and players are more entertained by the Haka rather than intimidated by it. Munster fans are particularly well-bred. As they themselves say "Irish by birth, and Munster by the Grace of God"

  • @pHaZe017 Don't forget the English!

  • @pHaZe017

    And the English :)

  • I remember watching this on tv, I was in awe...still am to this day =D Munster haka was amazing! Proud to be a munster fan xD

  • Its only in our beutifull game can such an incident of pure theatre take place. As a London based Scarlet I loved the Munster Haka challenge at the time and I defy anyone to say it is not a magical moment now and will be talked about in rugby folklaw for generations to come.

  • Almost a year on and it still doesn't lose its edge. The pride the 4 kiwis had in the red jersey... inspiring. The silence and respect of the crowd for the all blacks haka... inspiring! Take half the belief and passion they had that night, we'd win the Heineken cup every year!

  • It doesn't matter how my times you see this...Munster haka was amazing

  • howlett was going nuts

  • my respect to Munster fan what a silence good that s respect from well educated people congratulations

  • got to love how munster fans respect the haka

  • im proud to live in munster province im proud to live in ireland ! (im not proud of limerick :p)

  • HA! :o)

  • barry murphy got free brecfast in ma dads shop for scoring a try

  • Man it was agonising having to listen to this on live 95fm on my phone in work when i live just a few minutes from thomond park. : ( : ( : ( oh well

  • What a province..what a peole..we're too stubborn to be beaten!!!We'll be back next year for our European Cup!!!!

  • Munster v the all blacks, bernhard dunne winning the world title and the irish game against wales to win the grand slam, definately the 3 highlights from the last 12 months,

The irish are really spoilt and lucky when it comes to sport.

  • and A1 world champs

  • and ruby walsh winnin the gold cup and harrington with his major double

  • And the A1,poor old harrington seems to have hit a wall, lets hope hes back soon.

  • One of the best games of rugby played on Irish soil. a credit to both teams.

  • im not a big rugby fan but after watchin this game my intrest definitly increased and i`d say irish sporting moment of 08

  • new zeland Haka 0 munster Haka 10

  • Cmon Munster Wata Match!

  • Seeing that haka done by Munster was so kick ass!!!! It makes me extremely proud to be from Munster and amensly proud to be Irish !!!!!!

  • hard to believe 4 aib league players playin 4 munster wit that performance, epic!

  • i got shivers when i watched this!!!!

    Class!

  • One of the most epic things ever!!

Ohh and the guy at 1:43 looks a lot like sonny parker.

  • why do they stick out their tongues at the start? it was a great quality match. NZ are a great team :) but munster isnt too far behind!! :)

  • its just the warrior mentality

  • the video was quality munster were unlucky

hard luck for all munster fans on saturday

buy the better team won on the day

but your still the best team in the world

  • all blacks would still be a great team if only the europeon teams didnt take them away like justin marshall doug howlett carlos spencer and so on

  • A lot of people don't like Munster. But there is no other stadium on earth where that would have happened - passion for their own and respect for others, in equal measure. Outstanding.

  • dudes or any rugby experts, 2 qns..

1st, is the munster's haka same as the ab's??

2nd, why was the conversion kick not on or within the 22 but further away from it??

  • 1) yeh it is the same. its because the guys who did it used to play for the all blacks before they retired from international rugby, so they did the haka fro this match.

    2) the conversion has to be taken in line with where the try is scored, but you may take the ball back as far as you wish. you could take it back to your own 5m line if you wanted to.

  • i c, then where is the nearest u can place the ball to take the conversion kick??

  • you can place it 1cm away if you wanted to. but then you wouldnt have a great angle to work with. good kickers try to pick a good equilibrium. so they are far back enough so as to have a good angle to work with, but not so far back that it is out of their kicking distance.

  • just place the ball under the post and you will be right in front of the goal post for a kick

  • that was one of the best rugby match and the grand slams mathes

  • lol munster haka lol nz scary:(

  • the silence offered by the munster crowd for the nz haka and the conversion attempt was stunning.

  • great vid....stringer totally deserved man of match 14/3/09 for match against scotland.... grand slam????? i hope so

  • Why couldn't they hold on for the win?

    T___T

  • It sounds cheesy but when a provincal side plays the highest ranked team in the world with what could be called a third string side and plays only on heart after 35mins i think you could call it a munster win even if the all blacks put another 20 points on the score line.....i'm a leinster fan but this game was the embodiement of rugby and one i will talk about for years even though i only felt a fraction of the atmosphere through the TV

  • @KikiDaiso

we got beaten by a better side on the night Kik.. thats all... thats what makes the AB's the greatest side in the World. We gave them our best shot..

  • Pure Magic. Thanks for upload quality vid of a great great night.
