Well, you could...but it would just conform to the shape of the footpad and sink...a crushed aluminum CAN will work though...

Almost forgot, in the hot sun, your kickstand can sink into cement too!

it won't sink into concrete, but it will sink into hot asphalt ! I usually park on the concrete curbs if I plan on being long.

I have those boots!!! great boots, really like em! got them on closeout for like $80 =D
BTW, i've seen people use little peices of leftover wood from something they were building and those seem to work well too.
LOL that wheelie on the dirt with road tires was pretty impressive, but I can see that it doesn't work so well when you try to do a stoppie.
