why did they include the pushable weather button on the panel if its not going to work :) PMDG guys made this awesome aircraft i love flying but it would have been amazing if they had this WXR simulation included !
You entered 220 in MCP SPD instead of the V2 speed. Is that a permissible or desirable way to depart? Also, during climbout under VNAV, the magenta speed at the top left of the speed tape went up to 251 rather than setting 220 although in Part 6, it did re-set back down to 220. Would that be normal or is that a fault of the programming by PMDG?
Thank you for your superlative work with these tutorials. Just magnificent and most welcome!
when i changed to spot view when you did, all my engines had smoke coming out.......i didnt do the manual startup i just loaded the aircraft automatically
@OvEnPR00fPigeOn the problem is that there is a bug with loading the aircraft, so do not load the same engine type 747 twice eg. British airways RR to Cathay Pacific RR, this will trigger the smoke. If you want the same aircraft again just reload your sim and there will be no smoke
Is the weather radar simulated on the primary flight display?Because however I'm trying I just can't turn it on.I press the WXR button but nothing happens! It's so annoying. Why do they put that button there if it's good for nothing?!
Up to now these tutorials have been very good, but your startup procedure in this one is wrong. To start the 744 the number 4 demand pump should be in the AUX position. the 2 and 3 bleeds should be off. Engine start order varies by engine type and company policy, I've seen 1 and 4, followed by 2 and 3. or 4, 3 then 2 and 3 together. After engine 4 start the the number 4 demand pump can be returned to AUTO. and after all engine are started, the bleed pumps returned to AUTO.
@meloescher Never use brakes when advancing throttles for takeoff. You simply advance to 70% N1, let engines stabilize, and then press TOGA and advance full throttle.

When I fly the PMDG 747, the plane looses (considerable amount) speed in mid flight. Any Suggestions?

@bacsaattila95 No, it says on the PMDG site that they do not simulate the WXR radar.
