even funnier, when the dude presses his face up to the lens and waits for nothing to happen... she punches the box right into his face! LOL god that's classic... now go watch my short, "The Water Softener"
Very studenty indeed, but excellent. I think the end was just great, with the overlaying faces, flickering images & ticking into the end. Really well done, I have to say the sound effect you chose sort of made it. The Nightmare Box was, for sure, my favourite short story in Haunted.
The props are crappy looking. The description of the box in the book was plain black and shiny. Not that the movie has to be the same but at least not some simple dragon design with a blue ugly pinhole. The clip was boring...had to fast forward.
It was well lit, cinematographed, however, the pace was incredibly slow and nothing unique was introduced. I think it was a little 'spoiling' to physically show what would be in the box. The mystery is what drove the story.
nice build up to the box. really liked the ending shots with the reverse footage and moving images. Dark and interesting. Lighting in the attic was a little bright, but this excentuated the shadows on the face - very moody.
Really original Idea!I like it. but I have to be constructive so.. maybe, the end images could have been more informative, and substantial simply because I was left hanging at the end! but not neccesarily a bad thing!
3:47 "No, YOU look inside, BITCH!!!" lol

one of my favorite stories out of that book.
I have to agree with giggan1, the mystery what you saw was one of the best parts but anyway I loved it.
(I've been browsing videos that has something to do with any of chuck's books and this is the first one I actually watched)

I really like the pace and shot composition of this film, it draws you in. The acting is so natural between the characters too. Very good!
