i think you guys are cherry picking what hes saying... your sins are all forgiven through jesus you can talk to god through jesus... you guys really need to watch more of his videos. it really reaches out to me. and he repeats the bible in different ways for all of the different people who learn in different ways!!! just because you understand the meaning of the video.. which most of you dont... doesnt mean that the rest of the world will see it in the same light.
Oh I get it so what Mark is saying is that Jesus died for us so we can have eternal life with him.
I didn't understand that but thanks to the fact that Mark Driscoll has clearly made a career in repeating the one aspect in the bible I now think it is a really important truth so I am going to do the same thing. Thank God I am not religious by the way did you know that Jesus died for you?? I wonder how many illustrations I can make up to make to same point.
Just one other thing about the rich man and Lazarus. You mean the parable, a made up story where people could LITERALLY talk to those in paradise AND to those in fire? You ppl are funny. I'd hardly consider that proof for eternal torment at the hands of a loving God.
1Co 14:38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant. Gal 1:9 If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be anathema (ignored)!
...Would you believe less than fifty? Would you believe less than ten? Would you believe ONCE? That’s right, the answer is one time. There are three places in the KJV that the word "punish" or "punished" is used correctly. They are Acts 4:21; 22:5; and 26:11 where it Saul (later Paul) is punishing not sinners, but members of the church, the followers of Christ.
Kolasin: Chastisement, Root Word is Kolos and literally means "TO PRUNE" The Correction is with a view to helping the offender. It is usually incorrectly rendered Punishment. Matt. 25:46 (Eonian Chastisement). While considering all of the hellfire and brimstone material disseminated by Christian teachers, preachers, writers, and educators around the world, just how many hundreds of times do you suppose the word "punishment" is used in the entire New Testament with regards to sinners? Hundreds?...
... apparently you thin all rich ppl burn in hell forever, and all poor people go to heaven right? You think you will escape judgment but judgment BEGINS AT THE HOUSE OF GOD I Pet. 4:16-17. Sarcasm? Well obviously you don't take SIN very seriously, and SIN is no laughing matter which you think it is. Again, your own words condemn you.
@phillip78 Where did I say all rich people will burn in hell? Man you sure are into so much heresy. And again, you didn't read did you? If there was no punishment/hell in the gospel, then why should I even worry about sin? Your theology is heresy. It's spoken very clearly that there is a hell in the Bible. You don't even know what you're talking about, you make one verse more complicated than it seems, and deny huge parts of scripture. Sin produces death, life only through Christ.
@PopcornMawn I was being SARCASTIC cause you think the PARABLE of the rich man and Lazarus is so literal. NOW THEN can you see the stupidity if it were literal? I sure hope so. It would be so pathetic.
Of course your foolishness speaks volumes regarding your motives in following God. You don't believe that living righteously is the right way, the best way, or the ONLY WAY to live in the first place. I have not taught any such foolishness as you are proposing. And I firmly believe that it is people with your attitude that will be judged the most severely. YOU MOCK GOD AND YOU MOCK HIS WORD! Your own words condemn you. You need to repent of your rotten attitude. WE'RE DONE
@phillip78 Jesus was sent to be the savior of the WORLD. Thus, his mission was 100% successful when he said "It is finished" Jesus will NOT fail at saving the whole entire human race. You just denied what you have on your profile! If the wicked are not judged, and there is no hell, where do they go? Oh man you crack me up, you're raging so hard because you deny the truth. By the way, I forgot sarcasm doesn't exist on youtube. No hell, that means I can sin since I'm going to Heaven.
@phillip78 No hell means no judgment! Woopee that's so awesome man. I can do whatever I want, sin with no regret. But what does Matthew 25:41 and Mark 9:48 say? Men will have eternal life, and others will have eternal damnation. Mark 9:48 says the worm is not quenched, meaning there will be no rest! Why do you deny scripture? There is a hell, you silly goose. Men will be judged, and they will be rewarded accordingly. Hell/Heaven, dead/alive, unregenerate/regenerate, not saved/saved.
@PopcornMawn John 4:42 Jesus is the Savior of the world. You think he will utterly fail. Mk :49 Everyone shall be salted with fire. And vs 48 is the parable of the rich man and Lazarus God telling the Pharisees that the blessing that was given to them will be taken away and given back to the poor Jews and Gentiles. Since you think this is a literal story, you seriously think a DROP of water would provide ANY relief? Is heaven in Abraham's bosom? And the parable doesn't even speak of any sin so...
God will bring all mankind to repentance and they will learn righteousness just as Isaiah prophesied.
There is coming a time of severe judgment upon sinning mankind. It will not be a walk in the park for any of them. God will purge them all with the fires of His Spirit. But then, all mankind will be saved. This occurs at the white throne judgment, not when Christ returns to reign on the earth.
Driscoll suggests that God only starts loving you after you'd been saved. Have the elect (Driscoll believes that only the elect are saved) stopped sinning? If not, then they are still sinners and God hates sinners, doesn't He?
No! Neither a bumper sticker nor Ghandi came up with the idea that God hates sin but loves the sinner. John 3:16 clearly says that God loves the entire world (all sinners). The part that says "that He gave his only Son" proves that He hates sin but loves the sinner (Rom 8:3). If God hated the sinner He would NOT have given his Son to die on the cross. His vicarious death on the cross is proof that God loves the sinner. Isn't that the Gospel (Good News)? Calvinists do not preach Good News.
Calvinists often refer to Ps 5:5 to prove that God hates sinners. They point out that context matters and yet they often miss out on the context. David was referring to those who were seeking his life and relentlessly pursued him. The word for enemies comes from the verb "to lie in wait." Those who lay in wait to kill him God hated because they did not shrink from murder and deceit. The Ps ends with praise extolling God who defends the righteous. Is divine protection a token of hatred?
@lessingtom well, people like mark have repented and turned their back on sin and evil, and so he has been reborn. the old mark, the sinner, has died and a man cleansed by the holy spirit is born free of guilt and shame. of course he is human and im sure he sees temptation, but colossians 3:8 says "now you must also rid yourselves of anger, rage, malice, and filthy language" so when a reborn soul sees temptation, he takes it to jesus,
The elect cannot and need not repent. Why? because they have been sovereignly elected unto salvation before the foundation of the world. They can never be lost. Calvinists do not believe in a repentance unto salvation. They only agree to a repentance AFTER their irresistible regeneration which means they continually repent of their sins until the day they die. God hates the sinner but He loves the elect because "world" in Joh 3:16 doesn't refer to the entire world but only the elect.
@lessingtom but are the elect not sinners? everyone who has ever lived, besides jesus, has fallen short of the glory of God, there is no good and bad people, there is only bad people, and reborn people
" . . . there is no good and bad people, there is only bad people, and reborn people" Jesus said: "Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy. Go therefore to the main roads and invite to the wedding feast as many as you find.' And those servants went out into the roads and gathered all whom they found, both BAD and GOOD. So the wedding hall was filled with guests. (Mat 22:8-10)
Yep, the elect are sinners but not only that, they are the only sinners because they are the only ones being saved. Jesus said that He came to seek and to save lost sinners. He does not save the non-elect because He supposedly did not die for them on the cross which in effect means that they are not lost sinners. Had they been lost sinners He would have come to die for them and offer his salvation to them as well, according to Luke 19:10.
@brodieheg Phillip and whoever else supports his heresy are a bunch of hypocritical liars. They deny so many parts of scripture, I would just suggest you abstain from them or you will be conformed to their ways. God has made a way for man to be saved, and that is through trusting in Jesus Christ. Phillip supports universalism, or in other words, every man will go to Heaven. Men DO NOT DESERVE salvation, men are abhorrently wicked and he doesn't accept that.
@PopcornMawn Men don't deserve salvation, yet they deserve to be tortured FOREVER? If you really think ppl deserve to be tortured forever then you sir are one demented soul. Get help.
@phillip78 watch?v=sTiuhxviZJ8 God has made way for MEN TO BE SAVED, but they refuse to come to Christ so they may have life. (John 5:40, you should read that) Try reading Mark 9:48 too. If there really was no hell, if there really was no wrath of God, then what did Jesus save us from? God comes before us as a judge, and if He does not punish men for their wickedness (every deed, every wicked thought), then He will be like a judge who lets us go for free. We have to be punished
@phillip78 or have an advocate on our case. In this analogy, we owe God a trillion dollars, we can't pay the debt off! Jesus has filled that place and made that way, and only if we trust and rest in that will we be saved. If I'm a Diabetic, and I KNOW that I have to take insulin to control my bloodsugar, but knowing doesn't save a person. It's actually TAKING that medicine, taking Christ like the real thing, and turning 180 degrees. It IS that simple, but men don't want to go to Christ (pride).
@brodieheg I have also given him dozens of verses to prove there is a hell in scripture but he doesn't want to accept because he is of the devil. Did God really say there is no hell? Did God really say you can't eat out of the tree? He has led many away from Christ and into a god that condones homosexuality, murder, and such. Just avoid talking to this guy, he can affect you in a long run. Have you ever checked Illbehonest's channel? There is solid Christian stuff there.
@brodieheg If I did personally, I would be weeping because he has left the gospel to accept what the devil wants men to believe. If you can't find that men are wicked, you cannot recognize the beauty and holiness of Christ. Many have drifted away from the faith and for what? They have SOME idol in their life that is drawing men away, we must watch and pray, lest we fall into temptation. To reject Christ is like Luke 14:24, they will not taste the banquet.
@PopcornMawn I'm going to cut the crap and ask you where have I EVER said the wicked will not be judged. If you can find a statement from me I will close my account.
@phillip78 On your profile, you say all shall be saved. All are saved, meaning God will not judge anyone. Judge in this context = Condemn. Romans 3 says all have fallen short of the glory of God, there is not one good, no righteous. What is a person who is not righteous? Yes, it means wicked. Since we're all going to Heaven I guess that means I can sin all day. Man I always wanted to do that, God loves me. I can do whatever I want, man I should have known. He'll forgive me in the end anyway :)
@PopcornMawn WOW You are a fool and a bald faced liar. NOWHERE on my channel does it say all "are" saved. Rather all SHALL be is totally different. With your rotten attitude tells me your reason for living right. If you really believed living right was the ONLY way and the BEST way you wouldn't speak such stupidity. Further I have never said the wicked won't be judged. Want proof? See my vid. Rev. A book of symbols.
@brodieheg Though God sent Jesus to die on the cross for man's sins, though He has went THROUGH ALL OF THAT, men still do not want to flee to Christ. He says his yoke is easy! His burden is light, I have made the way! But what in return do men give? God says to the stars, move here, and stay still until I give you another word. Planets, move in this orbit and stay here! But He goes to men, and you say NO! it's all because of pride bro.
Even my KJVhas in the center margin the correction "strain OUT" not "strain AT." Go ahead, Bill, check your King James right now. You will see this "imperfect" translation with your own eyes. I find this kind of stuff rather hilarious.
PT3 The Greek word for fire is pur. Strong's Concordant of the Bible #4442.This is where we get our english word purify. The lake of fire is no more than a purification process that every man will endure weather now or later, and through this FIRE is what saves mankind. (1 Cor. 3:11-15)
PT2 brimstone. The verb derived from THEION is THEIOO, which means to hallow, to make divine. To any Greek, or any trained in the Greek language, a lake of fire and brimstone would mean a lake of divine purification. The idea of judgment need not be excluded. Divine purification and divine consecration are the plain meaning in ancient Greek. In the ordinary explanation, this fundamental meaning of the word is entirely left out, and nothing about eternal torment is associated with it.
The Lake of Fire and Brimstone signifies a fire burning with brimstone; the word 'brimstone' or sulphur defines the character of the fire. The Greek word THEION translated 'brimstone' is exactly the same word THEION which means 'divine.' Sulphur was sacred to the deity among the ancient Greeks; and was used to fumigate, to purify, and to cleanse and consecrate to the deity; for this purpose they burned it in their incense.
Your threats of hell is about as frightening as a 3 years old shaking their fist at me. Apparently you are still under this threat. You still believe Father tortures His children. Well... He doesn't.This will begin your journey into the truth of TOTAL GRACE FOR ALL MEN. The day will come, when you will LAUGH at the notion of a REAL torture chamber... Created by the God of mercy and love. It is a fable... It is NOT in the original text... It is NOT in the heart of God.... Never was! We're DONE
@phillip78 Hi Phillip, Im curious... what gives you that idea... that there will be total grace for ALL men? I mean... the idea of torture by God IS hard to run with but hey, didn't God order slayings before? So I don't think it takes a naive person to believe He would do such things as torture. Do I make sense here?
@TruthOverFact Numbers says that God is abounding in love and forgivness, but that he does not leave the guilty unpunished. God sent us here and gave us commands, and we all broke them. so it would be completely fair for us to suffer in eternal hell. but because of jesus we have the gift of repentance. we can be reborn and redeemed through the son of God. Look at the wrath of God from a victims point of veiw, if God let murderers go unpunished than he is not a loving God.
@brodieheg I agree with most you said. Here are my small differences in opinion:
"so it would be completely fair for us to suffer in eternal hell."
I don't think it would be "Fair" I also don't think God believed it to be fair. Thats why he offered us a way out. If we don't take it, then HEY, the ball's in His court.
"but because of Jesus we have the gift of repentance"
I think it's because of God that we have repentence and salvation. Jesus was mearly His tool.
@brodieheg I dont endorse the "trinity". I think it promotes confusion and skepticism...and rightly so. I see it very simple. God is the Creator. Jesus is the only man to be born w/o a human father. Hence Son of God. I see them "as one" in a figurative sense as I would see my own relationship to MY child.
2. "if God let murderers go unpunished than he is not a loving God."
Man... I couldn't have said that one better. God is indeed a JUST God. That is why I can't run with phillip78's idea about MASS salvation for ALL men. It doesn't sound like the Biblical God's style ya know?
"And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb [Christ] slain from the FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD" (Rev. 13:8).
Are you so naive and blind as to believe that God had prepared a Lamb, a Sacrifice, His SON, to be slain for the sins of the world at a time when theologians would have us believe God didn't even KNOW there was shortly coming such a thing as SIN?
Yea, you're right. We are part of the 99.99999994% of christians who really don't understand the bible properly. Thankfully, we have you to explain all of our errors.
@Bill244888 Here's a comical example of a minor error. Matt. 23:24 says, Ye blind guides, which strain AT a gnat, and swallow a camel. (KJV) A child can see from the context that it is talking about things that are swallowed, not things looked at. All scholars know that it should read: Ye blind guides, which strain OUT a gnat, and swallow a camel. Can you see this simple error that has not yet been corrected in nearly 4 hundred years? LOL
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
And Revelation talks about, hell and how Jesus second coming nations will make war against him, and he will crush them. If Jesus is God and from what your saying that he is so loving and theres no condemnation for anyone, then why will those nations be crushed?
@iMeGAMaN227 Your ignorance is going to destroy you. I did not take anything from the word. I have no fear of your man made hell it is not in the ORIGINAL texts.
@iMeGAMaN227 Why is it that "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." Phil 2:13 if man has a "free will" to will and to do on his own power?
Why is it that " No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day." Jn 6:44 if he has a "free will" to come to Jesus?
HAPPY NOW? Now does that do ANYTHING to my question, or would it change the result of my question?
@phillip78 Further, I DID NOT leave anything out in the first place. What does three periods (...) at the end of a quote mean? It means there is more. The same if there is three periods (...) at the beginning of a quote. You're being willfully ignorant, and no I didn't say free willfully ignorant.
If God knows that I MUST make a certain choice ten years from now, then it is foolish to suggest that my choice is, nonetheless, FREE to not be made. If a choice is truly FREE, that it is free to be this way or that way, and there is nothing that will cause or effect it to be this way or that way except this spooky phantom thing called "free" will, then the choice CANNOT BE KNOWN BEFORE IT IS MADE.
@phillip78 Got gave us free will. Do you think God created Assam and decided I'm not going to chose him? No Adam had free will and he sinned like the rest of us. And God tips him he will surely die
Why is it that: "NO MAN CAN come to me unless the Father draw him...." (John 6:44), if he has a "free will" to come to Jesus?
Why is it that: "For it is GOD which works in you BOTH TO WILL AND TO DO of His good pleasure" (Phil. 2:13), if man has a "free will" to will and to do on his own power?
Gal 1:6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7 which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be anathema! 9 As we have already said, so now I say again: .....
Will you admit your error? Of course not, cause you want to be right, full of pride and vanity, and you WANT people to suffer forever. Your ignorance will destroy you in THIS LIFE. See you in heaven.
@brodieheg I'm not the one who says I have earned my salvation.I'm not the one who says God love me me and nt you. I'm not the one threatening hell pn ppl. Put your money where ur mouth is u hypocrite
END Ecc 9:2 ALL things come alike to ALL: there is one event to the righteous, AND to the wicked; to the good AND to the clean, AND to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, AND to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, SO IS THE SINNER; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath.
pt3 All will be judged, either now in this life, or else they will be judged in the lake of fire, called "the second death". "FOR THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE" because there is but one event which destroys the old man in present believers, and then it is the very same event which will one day destroy the old man in all the rest of mankind, who will be "cast into the lake of fire". It is all one and the same experience. It is simply experienced at a different time.
"And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him."
If we can not submit to the authority of God's word, then we are no better than the cultists.
@Bill244888 "All will be judged, either now in this life, or else they will be judged in the lake of fire, called "the second death"."
For the TIME IS COME that JUDGMENT MUST BEGIN AT THE HOUSE OF GOD..." (I Pet. 4:16-17). The sinners judgment is LATER, and it's the same judgment as "THE HOUSE OF GOD." you sir fail to take the "sum" of God's word, therefore you sir are the cult.
pt 2 How would that then read? '... by faith of Jesus Christ unto all kinds of people, and upon all kinds of people, who believe, for there is no difference'?The righteousness of God is by the faith of Jesus Christ, and it is coming unto all, as well as to all believers, because there is no difference" between the process of salvation which is coming to all sinners, as well as "all who believe".
"How would that then read? '... by faith of Jesus Christ unto all kinds of people, and upon all kinds of people, who believe, for there is no difference'?"
"But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all WHO BELIEVE."
If you're not even going to stay within the boundaries of recorded scripture, then this discussion is pointless.
@Bill244888 Your issue is with God and the Scriptures not me. I gave you a perfect exegesis of "For there is no difference" and you blew it out your nose.
" If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be anathema" (accursed)
You have established that you are a scripture twister. I will gladly talk to you any time you wish to deal with the recorded text of scripture instead of your wishful thinking.
2Thes. 2:16"…and has given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace." Console is defined as, To allay sorrow or grief of. Hope is defined as, To wish for something with expectations of its fulfillment. Now then, according to this inane KJV translation of this verse, just how long are we going to have our SORROW AND GRIEF ALLAYED? How long must we HOPE before we have our hope fulfilled? For ALL ETERNITY? Nonsense.
Rev 20:10...for ever and ever. If the Greek word aion means etenal and in vs. 10 we have "AND ever" What is this "AND EVER? Multiply eternities? How can we have more than one eternity if 1 eternity never EVER ends?
Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, All means all here but not in 1 Tim 2:4? Ro 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation [That's is Adam's trangression]; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. Adam brought down ALL. Why is the word ALL in Adam's transgression really apply to every single person, but the "ALL" of what Jesus did does not mean all?
@Bill244888 Psa 145:9 The LORD is good to ALL: and his tender mercies are over ALL his works. Heb: mercies racham - tender love,But do you believe this verse? Why of course you don't. You despise such scripture. For there is no distinction: EXACTLY There it is."There is no difference" between "all...and all them that believe". So much for the heresy of Calvin that "all" here means only "all kinds of men"If that were the case, the phrase "for there is no difference" would have no contrast at all
Mat 24:5 For many shall be coming in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ!'
1Jn 2:18 Little children, it is the last hour, and, according as you hear that the antichrist is coming, now also there have come to be MANY antichrists, whence we know that it is the last hour."
Mark Driscoll is of the same spirit of the Anti-Christs. ;)
The Bible talks about many anti-Christs coming into the world- not just one. Anti-Christ is anyone using the name of Christ to promote partialism! Partialism is the idea that God does not favor or love everyone equally. God is not partial. Acts 10:34 Mark Driscoll is of the same spirit of the Anti-Christs.
Have you even read the Old Testament? Um, the nation of Israel?
In Acts 10:34 Peter is declaring that the new covenant in Christ is now for jews and gentiles. It's quite a stretch to imply that translates into every single human being. Especially in light of passages like Romans 9:15-16
90% of all biblical "discrepancies" could be eliminated if people would just read verses in context.
@Bill244888 You're a fool. The only Israel that God cares about is the One to whom the promises were made. That Israel wore a crown of thorns and had nails pounded through his hands and feet, and died for the sins of mankind. If you believe in Him, then you, too, are a true Jew, and benefit from the promises. ...
@phillip78 But if you do not, it doesn't matter how much of Abraham's blood you may have (other Middle Easterners have his blood, too), the promises are not for you! All the promises are in and through Christ!
"though they were not yet born and had done nothing either good or bad—in order that God’s purpose of election might continue, not because of works but because of him who calls — she was told, “The older will serve the younger.” As it is written, “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”
"What shall we say then? Is there injustice on God’s part? By no means! For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy."
@Bill244888 God does not view hate as we mere human do. God does not think the way we think. Jacob I loved, Esau I hated" only means the God has chosen Jacob for a higher purpose over Esau. You want hate to mean a literal hate cause that reflects exactly what's in your heart -hate.
@Bill244888 Further You Calvinist say God predestines some to burn in hell forever and some to eternal life. If God has two wills,(some to eternal life, and some to hell) why is double-mindedness condemned in the Scriptures? If God has two wills, why does the Bible say, "He is of one mind?" You are spiritually BLIND, and of your Father Satan.
@Bill244888 1. Can the good actions of finite man merit an infinite reward? 2. Can the evil actions of finite man merit infinite punishment? 3. If men are saved by works, is salvation of grace?
If one man is saved by grace, why should not all be saved in like manner?
He is not evil for saying that God hated the sinner if its biblical , as long as he summed it up with Jesus being the only reason that we can be unconditionally loved by God . we are enemies of God without Jesus!
Mark. Does God teach us to LOVE our enemies while God hates his? This man thinks that God views hate as we as mere humans do. God's thoughts are higher than ours, and God's ways are higher than ours. Mark you err.
Why do you suppose the translators translated it "hell" in this verse ONLY? It is because in this verse it plainly tells us that there is VICTORY over hades [or HELL, if you insist on that word]!!! And the translators didn't want anyone to know that there is "VICTORY OVER HELL"! Even my KING JAMES Bible says in the margin that this word "grave" in verse 55 is "hades" which is translated "hell" EVERYWHERE else!
"O death, where is YOUR sting? O grave, [Greek, 'HADES'] where is YOUR VICTORY? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. BUT thanks be to God, which gives us the VICTORY through our Lord Jesus Christ." I'll bet you didn't know that the word "grave" in verse 55 was translated from the Greek word "hades" which is translated 'HELL' in EVERY OTHER OCCURRENCE IN THE ENTIRE NEW TESTAMENT!!!
@phillip78 Hell is real. Feel is the wrath of God for our sin. Yes God is living and forgiving, Jesus drank the cup for our sin, but if you don't accept and believe it then how can you be accepted? The wrath of God will be poured out.
"Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son."
All you want to do is argue. Do don't want people to be saved you want ppl tp suffer in agony cause seeing others in suffering makes you feel good. I have debated this for years and I can see right through you people. The thought of your enemies receiving the same grace don't make you feel s SPECIAL.
"You have somehow convinced yourself that you are being more loving by trying to erase hell from God's word."
How can anyone say something so stupid? So I AM MORE LOVING THAN GOD? Apparently you think that TORTURE is love? Hell is not in the ORIGINAL manuscripts. 1 Tim 2:4 who will have all tp be saved" and there are HUNDREDS just like it. You BLASPHEME God. You despise God's word
1 Tim. 2:4 - If read in it's context, Paul is speaking of all types of people (kings and all who are in high position . . .) As Christ commanded, the gospel was to be taken into "all the world."
@Bill244888 Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
There it is. "There is no difference" between "all...and all them that believe". So much for the heresy of Calvin that "all" here means only "all kinds of men"
Please learn to read more than one proof text verse. If you read the whole chapter of Romans 3 it is easily understood that Paul is teaching that the new covenant in Christ is no longer just for the jews. This is a far cry from claiming that every person that has ever or will ever live will be saved. If that were true then Christ's warning in Matt. 7:13 would make no sense.
Since Christ is in heaven, where will those go that He sends away in Matt. 7:21-23?
@Bill244888 What did I tell you bill? Did I tell you end of discussion? You think I was playing? You are puffed up with pride. Titus 3:10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition REJECT.
You want the fire to be literal cause you want it to be. You WANT people to suffer FOREVER. You hate people who don't agree with you. The idea of your enemies suffering forever brings you great joy. You sir are a reprobate, therefore we are finished.
Nu, I want people to be properly warned with the truth, not some fairy tale ending that makes Christ's warnings out to be a lie.
You, sir are a false teacher of the highest order making the words of Christ out to be a lie and giving the unrepentant a false sense of security. You have somehow convinced yourself that you are being more loving by trying to erase hell from God's word.
@Bill244888 No you don't Bill. You HATE people. YOU HATE period!! and don't even realize it, otherwise you would CAREFULLY examine, AND question this vile doctrine. The god you worship would be MILLIONS times more hate than he is loving.
How are the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars JUDGED? Answer .In the lake WHICH BURNS WITH FIRE(Rev. 21:8)
Is this fire in the book of Revelation DIFFERENT from the fire that tries the works of believers in the book of 1 Corinthians? NO!
I was only carrying out the failed logic of all you hell denying false teachers who claim the Revelation is only a symbolic book. So when it speaks of, and even describes heaven this must also be symbolic according to your "theory".
@Bill244888 The entire book of Rev. is symbolic. Rev 1:1 John was in the SPIRIT when he wrote Revelations and says he SYMBOLIZED it. "The kingdom of heaven is WITHIN" NOT physical. I look forward to the day whdn God reveals these "MYSTERIES" to you.
We will say God is love...BUT, he is also just and must punish sinners forever. YOU DEMEAN GOD'S GREATEST EXPRESSION OF LOVE IN HIS SON'S SACRIFICIAL DEATH FOR ALL MANKIND! Those who dwell on this SICK teaching, you need a renewing of your mind.
His anger is but for a moment Ps 30:5 Why is it on earth God's anger lasts but for a moment, and his favor is for life, but after his death His favor is not even a moment and his anger is forever? How is it possible God's love can change so drastically at the drop of a hat? Lam 3:31 For the LORD will [NOT] cast off [FOR EVER] You people speak like fools.
David said that he preferred the judgment of GOD over the judgment of man, so anyone would would be a FOOL to prefer the judgment of GOD if a eternal hell hole of pain and suffering is true, which it clearly isn't. It is a doctrine of demons. It is satanic beyond words can describe.
@phillip78 YOU SIR ARE MISSING 2 VERY IMPORTANT DETAILS! GOD IS RIGHTIOUS AND JUST IN ALL HIS WAYS, MAN IS NOT! MAN IS WICKED IN HIS VERY CORE WHICH IS HIS HEART!
@fgysn4:25 - END that is what you want to hear and like to hear come out of a preachers mouth.. 0:16 - 3:00 that is what you dont want to hear.BUT they are both true you will not understand the cross and the Forgivness of Jesus Christ untill you reconize the wickedness of sin that you are so full of untill the blood of Jesus wipes away your transgressions... God Bless i hope this enlightins you and if you i hope you pray steadfastly untill God speaks to you. =)
@FreekShow6 Talk about justice!? How UNJUST this is to HIM who propitiated the sins of the whole world, who gave His life as a ransom FOR ALL 1Jn 2:2, 1 Tim2:6 then in return lose most?? To recognize hell's remedial purpose in no way contradicts his holiness, justice, or sacrifice. It actually MAGNIFIES them. How can we qualify or limit A LOVE THAT never fails! 1Cor 13:8 If God is love 1Jn 4:8 and is NEVER vengeful You say it's forever? in torment of hell. What a load a crap!
"and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever."
@Bill244888 We are TRIED IN THE FIRE. Beloved, think it NOT STRANGE concerning the FIREY TRIAL which is to TRY you, as though? some STRANGE thing happened unto you I Pet. 4:12 Every man's work [including believers] shall be made manifest; for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed BY FIRE, and the FIRE shall TRY every man's work of what sort it is" (1 Cor. 3:13)
"This clown is making people respond out of fear."
Sounds like Jesus preaching to me . . .
Luke 12:4-5
"“I tell you, my friends, do not fear those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more that they can do. But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell."
"Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves."
"“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."
When totally reprobate men want to commit the ULTIMATE evil they torture, and people who torture are considered to be the lowest forms of humanity yet you ppl have the gall to contribute to the GOD of the universe to this same practice. You people are very sick!
"When totally reprobate men want to commit the ULTIMATE evil they torture, and people who torture are considered to be the lowest forms of humanity yet you ppl have the gall to contribute to the GOD of the universe to this same practice. You people are very sick!"
And you are very arrogant! You presume to judge what God would or wouldn't do cy your standards of what is acceptable.
Evil men who torture do so unjustly, God's judgment and punishment for sin is always perfect and just.

...Would you believe less than fifty?

PopcornMawn 1 week ago

@lessingtom well, people like mark have repented and turned their back on sin and evil, and so he has been reborn. the old mark, the sinner, has died and a man cleansed by the holy spirit is born free of guilt and shame. of course he is human and im sure he sees temptation, but colossians 3:8 says "now you must also rid yourselves of anger, rage, malice, and filthy language" so when a reborn soul sees temptation, he takes it to jesus,
brodieheg 1 week ago
@brodieheg

PopcornMawn 1 week ago

@phillip78 watch?v=sTiuhxviZJ8 God has made way for MEN TO BE SAVED, but they refuse to come to Christ so they may have life. (John 5:40, you should read that) Try reading Mark 9:48 too. If there really was no hell, if there really was no wrath of God, then what did Jesus save us from? God comes before us as a judge, and if He does not punish men for their wickedness (every deed, every wicked thought), then He will be like a judge who lets us go for free. We have to be punished
PopcornMawn 1 week ago
@phillip78 or have an advocate on our case. In this analogy, we owe God a trillion dollars, we can't pay the debt off! Jesus has filled that place and made that way, and only if we trust and rest in that will we be saved. If I'm a Diabetic, and I KNOW that I have to take insulin to control my bloodsugar, but knowing doesn't save a person. It's actually TAKING that medicine, taking Christ like the real thing, and turning 180 degrees. It IS that simple, but men don't want to go to Christ (pride).
PopcornMawn 1 week ago
@brodieheg I have also given him dozens of verses to prove there is a hell in scripture but he doesn't want to accept because he is of the devil. Did God really say there is no hell? Did God really say you can't eat out of the tree? He has led many away from Christ and into a god that condones homosexuality, murder, and such. Just avoid talking to this guy, he can affect you in a long run. Have you ever checked Illbehonest's channel? There is solid Christian stuff there.
PopcornMawn 1 week ago
@PopcornMawn do you know him personally (also i agree with you, and i love how you do not get angry)
brodieheg 1 week ago
@brodieheg If I did personally, I would be weeping because he has left the gospel to accept what the devil wants men to believe. If you can't find that men are wicked, you cannot recognize the beauty and holiness of Christ. Many have drifted away from the faith and for what? They have SOME idol in their life that is drawing men away, we must watch and pray, lest we fall into temptation. To reject Christ is like Luke 14:24, they will not taste the banquet.
PopcornMawn 1 week ago
@PopcornMawn I'm going to cut the crap and ask you where have I EVER said the wicked will not be judged. If you can find a statement from me I will close my account.
phillip78 1 week ago
@phillip78 On your profile, you say all shall be saved. All are saved, meaning God will not judge anyone. Judge in this context = Condemn. Romans 3 says all have fallen short of the glory of God, there is not one good, no righteous. What is a person who is not righteous? Yes, it means wicked. Since we're all going to Heaven I guess that means I can sin all day. Man I always wanted to do that, God loves me. I can do whatever I want, man I should have known. He'll forgive me in the end anyway :)
PopcornMawn 1 week ago
@PopcornMawn WOW You are a fool and a bald faced liar. NOWHERE on my channel does it say all "are" saved. Rather all SHALL be is totally different.

In the ordinary explanation, this fundamental meaning of the word is entirely left out, and nothing about eternal torment is associated with it.
phillip78 2 weeks ago
The Lake of Fire and Brimstone signifies a fire burning with brimstone; the word 'brimstone' or sulphur defines the character of the fire. The Greek word THEION translated 'brimstone' is exactly the same word THEION which means 'divine.' Sulphur was sacred to the deity among the ancient Greeks; and was used to fumigate, to purify, and to cleanse and consecrate to the deity; for this purpose they burned it in their incense.

"FOR THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE"

pt3 All will be judged, either now in this life, or else they will be judged in the lake of fire, called "the second death".

"All will be judged, either now in this life, or else they will be judged in the lake of fire, called "the second death".
Heb. 9:27-28

Hope is defined as, To wish for something with expectations of its fulfillment. Now then, according to this inane KJV translation of this verse, just how long are we going to have our SORROW AND GRIEF ALLAYED? How long must we HOPE before we have our hope fulfilled? Mark Driscoll is of the same spirit of the Anti-Christs. ;)
phillip78 2 weeks ago
The Bible talks about many anti-Christs coming into the world- not just one. Anti-Christ is anyone using the name of Christ to promote partialism! Partialism is the idea that God does not favor or love everyone equally. God is not partial. Acts 10:34 Mark Driscoll is of the same spirit of the Anti-Christs.

"God is not partial."

Even my KING JAMES Bible says in the margin that this word "grave" in verse 55 is "hades" which is translated "hell" EVERYWHERE else!
