  • She is checking her fundus after she has given birth to make sure that her uterus is firm. This is done so that the patient will not bleed excessively due to the uterus having lack of tone. It is done on all women after they deliver a child and is part of a postpartum (after delivery) assessment.

  • Their checking for any pain of any sort after having a c-section. Mainly for infection or anything like that.

  • @blueangellady2004 Actually, they're not checking for pain or infection. It's to make sure the uterus is firm and not hemorrhaging.

  • This is a video of a fundal massage, or massaging the uterus after birth so it stays firm.
