  • "It'll be painful."

    "I'll scream."

    "Extremely painful."

    "I'll scream loudly."

    - Jaime and Qyburn.

I think this quote is Jaime's character in a nutshell. Always does things on his own terms.

  • I didn't start liking Jamie until late in book 3. Before then, I wanted to punch his face in for what he did to Bran

  • I'm not sure about the former king Targaryn being evil. Yeah, he did bad things, but I got the impression that he did them because he was crazy.

  • This guy could play Prince Arthas if a Warcraft movie would ever show up.

  • @xxlCortez hmm. yeah, maybe

  • Oh the puns in the top comments :P

  • I still don't understand the reason why he didn't tell everyone that he killed Aerys because the mad king tried to burn down King's Landing and everyone inside it before Robert's host arrives.

  • @puenboy1 Maybe its because he feels bad and wants the people to have a better memory of kings and not tarnish the office by revealing the truth (in that way he is a real kingsguard). Compare it to Batman in the movies that are coming out right now, he's doing it for the greater good, not to reveal the truth, regardless of what people say about him.

  • @puenboy1 He's probably tried more than once already...

  • BY THE SEVEN IT'S A LANNISTER GET IN THE CHARIOT!

  • by book 3 hes quite likeable! and dare i say honerable! all down to the amazing writing!

  • @JJoneEIGHTY I will say A Storm of Swords threw Jaime into my top 5 characters.

  • @zendric3 agreed!

  • Also, Nikolaj's description of Jaime is perfect. Either he really likes the character himself, or someone explained it to him very nicely.

  • Jaime is awesome, if you don't think so you haven't read the books

  • Why does he keep remind me Prince Charming from Shrek????

God, I hate them both, 'Charming' and Jamie.

  • id love to see Jamie take Catelyns head off her shoulders that stupid bitch!

  • Stop spoiling, you fucks...

  • He looks like Prince Charming of Shrek

  • I hate Jamie lannister. Hope he dies

  • @satansblackhole Hey Jamie Lannister is class!

  • I think Nikolaj actually gives a very accurate description of Jaime here.

  • unless you've read the books, dont read the comments of ANY GoT video, so many spoiling douche lords

  • Favorite character in the series, even in book one and season one.

  • thank you, faggots, now i know that he is gonna lost his hand T_T

  • @annathegreat7 I think this man is excellent in this role and his accent is fine.

  • That explains why his accent sounds so fake! he could take a lesson or two from Peter Dinkledge :P

  • I still dislike Jamie even after we got to know him in Clash of Kings. Even after he breaks the bonds with Cersei. He is still very stupid, arrogant and murderous. Even without a hand.

  • the medieval sawyer from lost

  • I hate jaime the most, but i hate joffrey more

  • @qmelian well, then you don't hate Jaime the most.

  • Hey Jaime! High Five! Oh wait

  • @otskitrash I see what you did there <_<

  • "SAPPHIRES!"

  • @SchubiNanna Thapphites!

  • @puenboy1 Hahaha! You Vargo-answered! That's why I shouted it in the first place ;)

  • He´s like prince Charming.

  • @MrMadpenguin Yeah he looks like him because of the blonde hair plus he really does... :) its amazing how one can look like somebody you know and think of.

  • shouldn't jaime get some hair extensions or something? i thought his hair was longer, and a bit more curlier :$

  • READ the Bookss!!! If u havent!

  • 0:42 Creaking of his armour totally makes that scene.

  • everybody says he is just a good swordsman, so i can barely wait for him to die in the tv show, he'll probably not go down by sword, since he is SOOO good. i think Arya will kill him with the tiny itsy-bitsy smallest sword ever made.

  • @pdannysan13 Have you read that books?

Only a fool thinks Jaime can still fight.

  • Jaime Lannister scares me even more than Gregor Clegane, the man is a sociopath. who has sex with their twin sister and impregnates her, 3 times. then goes on to push a 8 year old kid out a window to 50ft death-drop...while Gregor is frightening, jaime is F'ing scary, like a sister fucking, child-killing, smiling-stabber psychopath :/

  • It's so nice to see how connected each actor is to their character by these little featurettes. Thanks!

  • Jaime evolves so much throughout the series... he actually becomes quite likeable later on...

  • @classy15 thanks for the spoiler

  • @Ostefims -_- I didn't mean for it to be a spoiler...there's a crap load of worse posts than mine.... but sorry if I spoiled it.

  • This guy was perfectly cast, cannot wait to see how they present the evolution of this character in the next season.

  • The Daniel Inouye of Game of Thrones

  • If you think he's cool now, wait until A Storm of Swords.

  • I rly allways found Jaime charming (yes im a guy, not gay), but never liked before the later books. Hes rly good from book 3 and out.

  • He looks like prince Charming from the shrek movies maybe a little older.

  • He looks like a Disney prince.

  • This is an awesome portrayal of Jamie but in the books Jamie didn't give a fuck what people thought of him.

  • His hair is not golden enough :<

  • @Raksha5115

Real hair doesn't get any more golden than Danish blond. (Gold isn't yellow, after all; it's pretty much the color of NCW's playing Jaime. :)

  • I totally agree with Jaimie did, and i think he is very honorable but serving a complete ass hole like Robert can do things to you. Plus everybody keeps calling him dishonorable. Jaimie is easily one of my favorite characters.

  • @balaalalaslk what's so honorable by about crippling a boy you tried to kill?

  • @D22queen I know and i really hated him for that and i still do. But there the only way you will understand is if you read all 5 books. He is honorable but its deep down buried and hidden.

  • @balaalalaslk again still stuck on the whole trying to kill a young boy because he was caught doing another man's wife(not that the husband has the right to complain).

  • @D22queen You got to look at it from his point of view. A kid who means absolutely nothing to you caught you fucking the Kings wife. If he escapes and tells someone your children and your loved one are all going to die. So yeah give him a nice short shove.

I do not support the pushing of kids out of windows, and what got me hooked to the show was my shock and hatred of what Jaimie did, but you know over time my views changed.

  • @balaalalaslk

Yes, I agree. Thot I was the only person who does not support the killing of children, but thinks that if you're a father w/ three kids, your first duty is to them. Not to another man's son who was playing voyeur, in a window 30 feet off the ground, while his own father was busy negotiating his new role as Most Powerful Man at Court w/ his best friend the king. Jaime doesn't get to ignore his paternal responsibilities just because Ned did, & somebody's kid(s) had to die for it.

  • @jessieyt1 yeah totally

  • You know, he would be my favorite character if he didnt have 3 kids with his TWIN SISTER! :(

  • @AuroraTR3A you really shouldn't watch a show like this if you're not willing to overlook those sorts of things x)

  • i never like Jaime but after the 3rd book, i kept repeating reading his POV..

  • I had Jaime at gunpoint once, I was like "hands up!" he was like "what?"

  • When I first saw him I thought he's way too Prince Charming-like. But when I started to read the book I realized that he really looks like that. I think they made a pretty great work with that film.

  • best character and best suited actor

  • I can't belive no one disliked this video, after he was the biggest jerk of them all at the start. xD

  • @LazarazFanfiction If you read the third book, he really starts to grow on you. The first book is mainly through the eyes of the Starks so you don't really see his side but he is one of my favorite characters.

  • i love how they totally avoid the incest part

  • "There are no men like me. There is only me." Best Quote in the entire series so far.

  • Coster Waldau seems proud enough to play him. And he seems to have him figured.

  • It's funny, in the first episode he's probably the character everyone hates the most.

But by A Feast for Crows he's one of my favorite characters.

  • @jddrewes Ned Stark is a toolbox, he should be on his knees kissing Lannisters hairy bean bag, cause even if Ned and Fatso managed to make it to the Throne Room, I am sure Jaime would have made short work of them.

  • @Fiendishfoe666 Hardly possible, yea jaime was good but he was also only a boy, and would've ended up fighting battle-hardened men which is quite different then killing on old mad king(from behind) not to mention that when you make it to the throne room in a siege you're hardly alone and in the mood of challenging 1 on 1 every enemy you come by. Ned proved he wouldn't be THAT stupid at the tower of joy when he fought the 3 white cloaks there with 6 others at his back.

  • @bizi29 The only man who would be able to defeat Jaime is Barristan and Dayne

    Maybe Dolorus Edd, maybe

  • @jddrewes I still hate him

  • @jddrewes NO NONO NO NO ! spoiler! :P i just started reading the book number two! lol. you spoiled it a bit, but at the same time, now i can't wait to read a feast for crows

  • @2007words

Alright dude, if you're on the internet, looking at game of thrones vids, and reading months of youtube comments about some of the characters, you should be glad that the worst spoiler you've gotten so far is that a character is still alive. Don't read youtube comments, don't go on game of thrones forums, and definitely stay off of 4chan until you finish the series if you really don't want spoilers that badly.

  • @jddrewes I'm on AFFC, but he became amongst my favourites by A Storm of Swords.

  • Handsome.

  • my favorite character after tyrion.

  • probably my second favorite character after little finger

  • No one thinks he looks like Denis Leary?

  • he is a good man finally.

  • is he American?

  • @elvaelvirababe he's Danish

  • @Parshaara thanks, his dialect was a bit difficult to determine~

  • So this dude fucks his own sister ?

  • lets all give a hand for jamie lannister!! hehehe

  • @SRStrollisSRS Dude, that's just mean. :p

  • @SRStrollisSRS hihihihihi

  • @SRStrollisSRS oh man, you really handled that joke right ^^

  • @SRStrollisSRS oh, youre bad. ^-^~

  • @SRStrollisSRS well said

  • @SRStrollisSRS

Oh i see wat u did thar

  • @SRStrollisSRS lol!

  • @SRStrollisSRS I see what you did there ;)

  • @SRStrollisSRS He deserved it. So much.

  • Jaime lannister looks like Raphael Sorel

  • My first thought as well, isnt that Prince Charming from Shrek? Secondly I thought, that is how you`d imagine a noble prince/knight is supposed to look like if you think stereotypical medieval characters. One of my favoite characters, its always interesting to see what he`s going to do next.

  • Comment removed

  • @oOVlPraLLaSlVOo Denmark.

  • eck, ew, where the fuck is he from?

  • anyone else think he should just keep using his accent in a Game of Thrones in real life? gosh, i can't stand his normal voice.

  • He's the doppelganger of Shrek's Prince Charming.

  • @alexrider27 in fairness charming must be a copy of him becuase jaime came first

  • @JDrakeify Jaime came first in the form of written description, no? Agree to disagree. :)

  • @alexrider27

But Nicolaj Coster-Waldau looked like himself before Shrek.

And he is perfectly cast, and not for his looks, although they work very well.

  • @alexrider27 100% right! I just came on here to post that exact comment.

  • "KINGSLAYER, get in here!"

[NIKOLAJ] - We can see that he killed the previous king.

    . . . Really?

  • @Hennichell He said 'because' not 'we can see'.

  • @ReconPursuit . . . God, I said to mom to change the headphones. . . ¬¬'

  • @Hennichell hahaha

  • aaron eckhart's brother?

  • as much of a shitbag he is, you gotta hand it to him for his loyalty towards his tyrion

  • @cheungiiiiii Jaime aint a shitbag... at least, not in the later books! his character develops really well

  • @SilencerS81

    and dies as it follows

  • I think he would do a great job playing Lucifer in the upcoming movie Paradise Lost in 2013, not that Bradley Cooper!

  • I think most of Jamie Lannister's evil acts were motivated by his incestual love for his twin sister Cersei. But he was the one who slew the mad King Aerys and hunted down his arsonist cohorts, and also protected his dwarf brother Tyrion - so there are some redeeming values in his character.

  • Jaime is such a cool character (aside from the wincest of course), but the books have him spending too much time doing nothing.

  • @axiobeta yeah read more.

  • He's such an asshole and he does some even worse things in the books, but I just can't hate the guy :/

  • I'm as straight as they come but god DAMN he is so fucking hot...

  • @WeSlayTheDragon

Well this is true. Some people are so beautiful, everybody straight and of the opposite sex wants them, and everybody straight and of the same sex understands why the researchers say almost nobody is 100% straight. :)

  • @2112murphy so true! I am a huge fan of his wit and his general perception of the world.

  • Reading the books, Jaime has actually grown on me. I love you Nikolaj!

  • There are truly no men like Jaime, and Nikolaj plays him so well. Can't wait for season 2.

  • Mmm Nikolaj is sexy. Also I'm amazed at how Jaime manages to get douchier and douchier as the series progresses. Sir, I bow to your superior dickery. Lest anyone get all pissy with me, he's still one of my favourite PoV characters to read. Very interesting and very human, in an inhuman sort of way.

  • @chlorr Do you reck he becomes more of a tool? I thought from what I have got up to he was not that bad and had a valid set of reasons to be how he is but kinda grows better as a person (Only up to the book 3 prt 2 bought just over a half of the way through)

  • @Omega343666 To clarify, I was midway through reading the series too, so it was just based on what I'd seen so far. You're right, he does grow and gain a bit of humanity during Storm of Swords. He's an interesting character, isn't he?

  • Holy shit i disliked by mistake. Then I repented.

  • Cant wait til hes one handed...i wonder how the actor will handle that

  • @ps8hand will you dicks stop giving away the fucking story

  • @ps8hand will you dicks stop giving away the fucking story

  • KINGSLAYER ROCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK'S

  • @FrancoC077x It's Lion of the Lannister actually.

  • @Narania234 i dont care what it is i love jamie lannister and his sister

  • SISTER FUCKER ! :D

  • @GrkanTezcan Shut up, motherfucker.

  • @Narania234 that doesn't change his name :D he is still sister fucker :D

  • Jaimie is a bad motherfucker

  • @wukillah92 eddard stark was self-righteous, judgemental halfwit. Iąm so glad he was behaded by Ser Illyn Payne.

  • @Narania234 when I say Jaimie is a bad mofo. I meant it in a good way

  • He looks like prince charming from Shrek!

  • He's a real douche, but an epic fighter

  • @CiaraLaS Jaime is awesome. You are douchebag.

  • @Narania234 He's awesome at fighting. But screwing his sister and pushing an innocent child out of a window is pretty douchey

  • At first I didn't like Jaime, but as I read on I like him more

  • In fact only in the series did I realise how similar the Lannister brothers are, though Jaime is obviously a less principled one, in a way. But both brothers are much more sympathetic than their sister and father.I think Nicolaj Coster- Waldau did a great job, and the over-simplification of the character has more to do with the screenplay, rather than with his performance.

  • Hey Jaime.."HAND" me that sword!

Just wait...jaime gets what he deserves in a storm of swords ^^

  • @ps8hand he doesnt he is awesome

  • Would like him if he didn't have incestious sex with his sister, have three children with her and throw a young boy out a window nearly killing him and paralyzing him for life.

  • You forgot to mention that he threw Bran out a window and fucked his sister. Just sayin...

  • LOOOOOL PRINCE CHARMING

  • Jaime has got to be one of my favorite characters together with Arya, Jon and Tyrion :)

  • I can't hate Jaime. He may be an amoral asshole, but he's the only one who treated Tyrion like a person in the Lannisters.

  • And the funny thing is that Jaime is a charming guy, he could have any woman that he want, but he chooses his sister.

  • Jaime push a 10 year old boy outside a window because he doesn't want anyone to knows that he fuck his sister.

Jaime is so damn fucked up
